My favorite thing about the TSA:
Agent: Sir, there's more than 4 oz of water in your drink you need to either finish it or throw it away.
Me: Why do I need to do that?
Agent: It's not allowed on the flight.
Me: Why?
Agent: It may be an explosive liquid.
Me: Okay. Where do you want me to throw it away?
Agent: You can put it in this trashcan I'm standing beside.
Me: ...

Flying since losing my leg has been hell. I always end up in the side room with my leg being taken somewhere else, then I have to take my connection gear off (which usually involves taking off my pants) so they can make sure I'm not hiding things in it, either.

And to top it all off, I never get dinner, a cigarette, or even a cuddle afterward.

The Angel families chanted “build the wall” in Pelosi’s office:

Americans who have lost loved ones at the hands of illegal aliens and because of open borders gathered on Capitol Hill Tuesday urging Congress to fund a wall along the U.S. southern border for border security.

Reps. Mo Brooks, Louie Gohmert, Matt Gaetz were among the several legislators gathered with the Angel families and Women for Trump in front of the U.S. Capitol Building, as they put faces to the statistics of Americans killed or injured due to illegal aliens and the drugs that flow in the U.S. at the southern border. Among them were D.J. and Wendy Corcoran and their daughter Avery, Sabine Durden, Maureen Laquerre, Maureen Maloney, Mary Ann Mendoza, Kent Terry, and Susan Stevens, who have each lost a loved one. Former Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Tom Homan also accompanied the group.

After telling their stories and describing the dangers of a porous border, the group took to congressional offices and the Office of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The partial federal government shutdown has become the longest in history as Democrats refuse to negotiate with President Donald Trump to provide funding for a southern border wall and border security that would allow for a bill to reopen the government.

That has got to be a pain in the arse. I'm stumped on how to make it better, though.

I got molested on my last return out of Pensacola. I was wearing baggy shorts and as I passed thru the old military guy grimaced as he looked at me. I said “what?” He wordlessly pointed at the monitor. A big red square right over my crouch. I just sighed. He asked if I wanted a private screen I said no just get it over with. He buddies also ex mil started to congregate and snicker. When it was over he said “thanks for making that non painful”. I smiled and said “no prob but next time I’m gonna need dinner and a movie first”. His buddies now busted out laughing. We all parted smiling.

I am certain he didn’t want to fondle me any more than I wanted him fondling me. My wife likes to argue with them. I tell her they’re just doing their job don’t kill the messenger.

Also it would be ok for you to ingest a liquid explosive and board the plane. Can we just admit these rules are dumb? Also this:

I have one of those short tempered, vocal wives who tends to say what she thinks. I cringe when we go through TSA and feel relieved when we make it through. There have been a couple of times that started feeling very iffy. The worst was when when she met up with an extremely rude female agent who had no business even associating with the public. My wife's final comment as we walked away had to do with she'd like to meet up with her in the hospital when the roles were reversed.

Some rules are just dumb, and some applications of rules make targeting penalties in football seem consistent.

Trump's shutdown trap?

Has President Trump suckered Democrats and the Deep State into a trap that will enable a radical downsizing of the federal bureaucracy? In only five more days of the already "longest government shutdown in history" (25 days and counting, as of today), a heretofore obscure threshold will be reached, enabling permanent layoffs of bureaucrats furloughed 30 days or more.
