How far do you extend that boys will be boys mindset? It has been used as justification for lots of crude behavior. Little Timmy grabbed Little Susie's butt... oh well, boys will be boys.
Unfortunately humanity has yet to find a way to distinguish from prosecution of a group, from the prosecution of the individuals who make up that group. Until such time I will side with the individual over an enforced societal standard. And yes that applies both directions, if anything I see your greater purpose as being just as problematic as their enforced diversity.Well, the peer inducement seems to make men think they are actually women and vice versa. When you have ~10% of your teen population identifying themselves as something other than the male or female reality they were born with, you have a serious mental problem that seems to be expanding at a fast pace. This isn't "merely" a predilection for the same sex, this is reality bending thinking that you actually ARE a different sex.
This has little to do with how I may feel toward any one individual - and anyone expressing hatred toward any of these poor souls should be censored forthwith. They deserve pity and need help not hatred. At some point, the numbers in aggregate become a societal problem. These people are less likely to breed and if they do, their offspring is less likely to carry the beneficial traits for survival of the following generations.
First, they laugh and try to discredit those with the temerity to point out the utter decline in masculinity and femininity in the social order. Now the willful perversion has gone so far as to deny biological function of male and female. Oh, we are so modern, look at us, we have ascended beyond the arcane beliefs and silly mores of our forebearers and the gods who have made us. So said so many societies in the past. When schools still functioned, we read about those societies as their empires fell into decay and are no more. That is what is happening to Pax Americana RIGHT NOW. Many of you are just too blind to see it.
All this queer male?female confusion is but one branch of a tree with deep roots that is utterly destroying this country and the Christian West at large. Racebaiting, oppression olympics, utter contempt for your own nation and its history - these types of beliefs do not engender growth or cohesion but destruction. Every empire on earth was first destroyed from within long before it succumbed to the coup de grace delivered from outside.

The issue is we don't learn as a society to work with these groups, instead we seek to define things as "black" vs "white", instead of allowing any gray. The answer is somewhere between a denouncement of all things "sissy", and a denouncement of all things "manly". Those other nations broke down because people fought over the divisions instead of accepting them and working with them. Rome ALWAYS used foreign auxiliaries, and those auxiliaries were usually the most numerous part of the military. There were relatively similar number of Roman legionnaires at the end of Rome as at the time of Julius Ceasar, the problem wasn't that the manly-homogenous group completely disappeared. Most of the barbarians who became an issue had been part of the Roman Empire until Rome stopped working with them and started holding them down. Rome turned inward, fighting over control (manly vs sissy) instead of addressing their actual issues. The internal friction did bring them down, but that internal friction is rarely just from one side. Both sides choose to be non-cooperative.
our future as a nation and a power isn't dictated by the percentage of sissies that make it up. Its dictated by how well society is willing to work with them vs against them. Its impossible for "them" to fit in and function as part of a healthy society if you are keeping them out. Instead of creating a barrier, find a use for them. for instance, how the military can typically find use of a conscientious objector. They can help with the non-violent aspects of the military, and still meet their own standards. a similar place can be found for these "sissies" within a functioning, strong society. We choose to weaken ourselves by making issues of something that really shouldn't be an issue.
Are there outliers who do need to be addressed? Absolutely, but that doesn't mean we assign blame to all. Just like one shooter doesn't mean every American should lose their 2A; LGBT+ shouldn't lose their place in society because of one groomer. and I doubt that most of the people espousing their manlyness would be willing to give up on the modern comforts they believe created the sissyness problem.
The house should be relatively carbon monoxide, and asbestos free by then, so probably. I know I will be out of town for at least two weekends in August so I will need to check the dates. This is one of the more reasoned posts I've seen here in a hot minute. You get a like.
Can I couch crash for Death Grips in August?
I don't think boys are playing gab ass at the elementary school level. Generally, I would think thoughts of something like that would start after puberty.
Lots of thoughts here, in no particular order:
I do not believe 70% of the US is overweight or obese. I last read that almost 40% are obese, but to get to 70% one would have to go by the government stupid BMI and include every man or woman that was a single pound over their extremely simplified BMI formula which is: men should weigh 100lbs plus 7lbs for every inch height over 5ft. Women should do same except 5lbs for every inch over 5 feet. So a woman who was 5ft 6in tall and weighed 131lbs would be counted as overweight. Body types vary far too much for the BMI to be accurate. However, a simple trip to Walmart will show anyone that we are insanely overweight compared to previous generations. Zero doubt about this...but i would put the actual % of overweight folks at around 50%.
As far as testosterone dropping 1% a year, the data and eye test say this is accurate. Part of the problem is city water facilities do NOT screen out hormones from birth control when recycling our water. So everyone is eating, drinking, and bathing in female hormones daily unless you're on a well. Second problem is that in order to grow chickens that are bigger than turkeys were a generation ago with 2lbs or more of breast meat, chickens have also been given hormones. Also been bred to keep those traits forever. So boys eat that crap too. Lastly, microplastics permeate every single tissue and bone in our bodies. Recent study says we intake enough tiny plastic particles every day that its equivalent to everyone in the US EATING a credit card every month. Studies have shown that ingesting even small amounts of these particles can stunt testosterone production. Eating soybeans and soy protein in processed foods also causes the body to produce estrogen...which nullifies natural testosterone. Men and boys these days are under Tassault 24/7/365...
I have a 21yo son and a 14yo daughter. Having been around all of their friends and classmates, youth group etc I can honestly say that this generation is without a doubt not as masculine as mine. Some of it can be attributed to the above stuff, but i think much of it is also due to distractions. Many young teens today would simply rather be on social media or playing video games than lifting weights or even chasing girls. They just have different mindsets. Which can also be attributed to hormones, but I think it is also a cultural issue. My experience is of course subjective...but i have spent a great deal of time around teens in the last decade or so. Guys generally seem to not care as much about gaining muscle and being physically strong. It is hard for me to understand but seems to be true. I am glad that my son lifts weights, for HIM, but i would love him the same if he did not. I have taught my daughter how to build things, how to maintain a car, how to box (we have gloves) and most importantly how to budget financially to be self sufficient. Same as my son. I do not want her to ever have to rely on a man for anything but companionship...it seems many of the boys at either of my kids ages have not been taught these things. From here, I do not know if its from them not caring enough to learn, or their parents not caring enough to teach them. Most of them cannot change a tire if they get a flat. Imagine being a grown man and being that helpless?
Let me also add that girls at either of their ages are nothing like my wife...and this began dying in my generation. They cannot cook, have no desire to learn how to...and when it comes to helplessness they make the boys look like Supermen. Many of them also say they do not want kids. A good % of them arent even worried about getting their drivers license. This is so polar opposite of how teens were when i was that age...i just turned 46...that it is hard for me to understand too. Louder was absolutely correct in that every generation thinks the 1 after them is strange...but the differences these days do seem very pronounced. We will see how it all pans out i guess. These kids are all tech savvy...so hopefully that helps them in the future. I try to teach and prepare mine to be responsible adults and prepare them for hard times to come. I second guess myself a lot internally, but hopefully i am able to make them able to flourish even after we are gone....and trust God to take care of the rest.
Anyway...good posts and conversations. GO VOLS
Who cares, why does it bother you.Whatever the number is, it's high. It's getting out of control. The average overweight kid to a boomer in their day is a skinny kid now by today's standard. Count the 40 YO's you see in a day and how many of them are fit? Is it 3/10? I know where you live makes a difference, and if you're in an affluent area you're gonna see some nice looking people more. Last year I was at a Cracker Barrel in AL and it was jam-packed with people and I swear there was not 1 fit person in at least 100.
I would bet the number is north of 70%.Whatever the number is, it's high. It's getting out of control. The average overweight kid to a boomer in their day is a skinny kid now by today's standard. It worked for generations, are you telling us kids are better behaved now that we have eliminated spankings?
And there is a difference between a beating and a spanking.
