I agree, when Milroe is having a good game, he is awesome, but way too inconsistent. Bama needs to replace him or will continue to have games like Okl. and the Mich. game. Not going to mention Vandy as they really have a decent team this year.

I said it after our game with OSU. We caught them at a terrible time as they rallied from a shocking defeat to Michigan at home.
Chip Kelly put on a master class of shredding both ours and Oregon's defense. There was a reason he got a shot as head coach in the NFL and that showed in both those games.

Do I feel better that there are more playoff teams DOWN on our level? No! I still feel bad that we aren't UP at a level to compete with the OSU's of the world.

Oh and incidentally, if you think no other playoff team besides OSU wouldve done that to us, you're delusional.

What other playoff teams would have beaten the Vols like that? Ohio State is on another level right now, they're on a mission. No team is currently playing anywhere close to their level.

A little. Just confirms what we knew after our game...OSU is just on another level right now. And, pretty much confirms that we had a really good season, certainly better than expected, and deserving of a ranking somewhere in the bottom of Top 10.

Notre Dame
Oregon

All of those teams wouldve pounded us. I would list Georgia as well, but with them losing their QB, who knows. But they sure handled us no problem in the regular season. We werent that good, that's just the facts. We were a mediocre team that benefitted from a very favorable schedule. That's all.

OSU following the model of NC winners...consistently ranked in top 5 recruiting...virtually all of their starting D were 4 year players at OSU.

JH has built a good culture where we are building most of our players internally...just not to the levels of OSU, UGA, Bama, etc yet. So, the way to leapfrog while we are building our talent up is to keep our D strong and have a QB who operates at a high level. Nico will need to play better next year...but, it is a team game, so OL/WR matters also.
