Yet only 9 or so were going to actually go to the WH. I don't blame Trump. The Eagles are *******s that choose to stay home in protest. What they are protesting, they won't say. They could have come to Washington for their community work and gone home never having gone to the WH. Instead, they do the typical BS professional athlete thing and bring politics into sports yet they have no ****ing clue what they are for or against. Sports could stop at college and I would be just fine. If I made the average NFL money my ass would be where ever good PR put me. If the president wanted to see me, I would be there. Politics would never enter my conversation.
Trump said in a statement Monday that some Eagles players "disagree with their President because he insists that they proudly stand for the National Anthem, hand on heart, in honor of the great men and women of our military and the people of our country."
Is it about how many were going or is it about not standing for the anthem?

But when the president of the United States invites you and all your teammates to the White House to honor your Stanley Cup championship, you go and represent the team.
On Monday, Thomas instead chose to represent himself.
The reigning Vezina and Conn Smythe winner skipped the White House ceremony, deciding to use a special moment for the organization, the team and its fans to voice his displeasure with the U.S. government.
