The Thread Where People Argue About Kneeling in the NFL (merged)

outstanding job of cherry picking one person involved to make your point seem appropriate.....

you have your opinion and i have mine, arguing with you on here about does nothing, i simply support all folks right to peacefully protest in any manner, venue they want......i dont get butt hurt or offended over these things...

You're right, no point in arguing. But, if you really don't think crime in the NFL is a problem, you should really explore more of the internet than just this board. I simply pointed out the King Pin as an example.

I won't say I've supported every single protest blasted all over the media in the last couple years but they didn't bother me. This one hits close to home. You yourself pretty much told everyone that had a problem with it to get over themselves. That's hardly what this is about to me.

It's all anybody can talk about. That's the point of the "tactic".

These mollycoddle's are falling all over themselves in feigned outrage. 100% of them who are crying are kicked back on their Barcalounger with their fat little sausage fingers stuffed in a Cheetos bag during the anthem, nary' a one standing in reverence to the flag and anthem.

It's especially amusing to watch the meltdown by the ones who wedged the words "snowflake" and "safe space" into every conversation.

Huff is reaching. He's referring to these lines. Actually he probably referring to something he saw on facebook.

It mentions the "hireling and slave". The hireling being hired mercenaries and the slave being maybe former slaves, I would guess runaways, who the British had employed. But a slave revolt? That is a reach.

As I said he probably never actually read the words just saw something on facebook.

Who thinks that the NFL office has quietly made it known that the players better get out of the locker room and stand? I saw this morning that both the Bears and Packers stood last night with interlocked arms.

Perhaps that's the case. I kinda thought the teams just made the decision themselves. I guess we'll see Sunday, though, if other teams start standing.

Slave revolt was the wrong word. Yes, many make a strong case it's about runaway slaves that fought for Britain.

Martellus Bennett folded quicker than a $2 crack whore with withdraws. No respect for the guy, complete freaking sellout, grand standing idiot. imo

That man hugging and coddling is probably not going to work for most people. What is that ****? What the hell is all this unity crap? Nobody wants to pay for that crap, duhh.

NFL is going down the worse path -- half ass submission.

The worse thing about this, is the picture below... why in the hell would you want to be doing anything with that guy? Completely disgusting.

You're mad when people stop kneeling now?

Mad, no, laughing at them, yes. They are clowns.

I said if they were doing this out of principles, stick with your principles. Whether or not I understand the why.... I do respect people that stand up for themselves. These guys are just grand standing idiots, well, if they fold. imo I get it, you don't want to do something -- I get it, maybe not the why but everything else, sure. Once you freaking fold because someone told you, well, zero respect. These guys on Green Bay I have zero respect, these freaking man hugging cowards are now in the same boat.

It might surprise you, and I have said in the thread before.... I have had my doubts as to whether I should stand for the anthem and flag. I get it, I can't say they are wrong.... or I understand what they are trying to accomplish, to me what they really doing is nothing but grand standing in this instance. I had some serious issues with this country in the Clinton, Bush, and Obama years -- I still do. If you have principles or some ethical/moral issue, I get that -- just bailing without a fight is just horrible though.

Who am I to say what they should or should not believe in? However, that doesn't mean I have to pay for it, but that doesn't mean I need to respect them if they fold like a lawn chair.

If I were to be mad other than the government handouts.... that picture above is disgusting, he (Jones) looks like a freaking Southern Plantation Slave Owner pandering to his help, all he would need is one of those white brim hats. I seriously doubt any cause you would get anywhere without SACRIFICE... which is why this is not going to work.

Never have 'liked' 1 of your posts before. Don't normally agree on most of your opinions. But you used mollycoddle and nary both on the same post. So you get a like today. Happy Friday.

Sunday will tell all.

Some times have already came out with statements about standing. Some players will kneel. I think front officers got alot of pushback. I know the titans did.

Titans better get your butts out of that locker room, take a knee all you want and beat the Texans

Joey Odoms, the combat veteran who won a competition in 2014 to become the national anthem singer at Ravens home games at M&T Bank Stadium, has resigned from his position, a team spokesperson confirmed Tuesday evening.
“Fans who attack players for protesting, (a right in which I fought to defend) but are simply not interested in understanding why, is the reason I am resigning.”

Or his inability to understanding why the paying customer and taxpayer are protesting as he is not interested in understanding the why... is the reason most people won't care. They are going to say -- bye.
