Yep, and it also means you can avoid having a serious discussion about what the protest actually targets.

Let's also be aware of the fact that Kaepernick came to the conclusion that kneeling was the best action after discussing it with a Green Beret.

If Trump kept his piehole shut this thing just withers on the vine. Now it's gone from 6 players kneeling to over 200. He has opened up Pandora's Box now and it will likely spread to the college teams and multiple sports.

You'd think with so many issues facing our country like healthcare, infrastructure, immigration, tax reform, rhe budget and deficits, and catastrophic damage in Florida, Houston, and particularly in Puerto Rico he'd be focused on that.

I'm not sure what planet you watch sports on, but here on Earth, it was a pretty big deal - even last year.

To quote Colin Kaepernick, "I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color"

Seeing as the current players are following Kaepernick's exact movement, it seems a little disingenuous to me for them to start saying it isn't about the flag or it isn't about the country when the original intent of this symbolism was certainly to display a lack of pride in those as symbols "of oppression".

Forgive me if I associate the current gesture with its original intent. Not a fan of the guy who wore the pig/cop socks....and yes, all of that was last year. All of that was in the news.
