The Thread Where People Argue About Kneeling in the NFL (merged)

Thank God our founding fathers were smart enough to understand certain things. One being that the majority of the country shouldnt be ruled by a few large liberal cities

I'm not sure their judgment was infallible--they didn't seem to know that owning people as property was wrong.

They absolutely did, it just wasnt within their right to abolish it because states rights still existed then. Even Lincoln new he didnt have the power to abolish it with the EP. The framers of the constitution knew that eventually slavery would come to an end based on the laws and the inclusion of new states. The 3/4 clause also added this as it lessened the voting power of slave owners, just dont tell anyone in our public education system that since they tend to teach that it was the governments view on the value of a black man.

Looks like the Trump admin is trying to get more mileage out of this. Pence went to the Colts game and left after 49ers knelt during the anthem. They then issued a press release stating why they left.

What a snowflake

Yeah, not remotely predictable that players would do that. Pretty obviously a set up for Pence to get some good PR with the GOP. Press release was probably written last Wednedsay.

Thing is, it will make Trump mad that Pence is getting some mileage out of it. So Trump will doubtless tweet how proud he is of him, to get the spotlight back on him.

Good to see Trumps tweets bother the snowflakes. He has you right where he wants you.

It's interesting that you say the "majority" of the country shouldn't be ruled by a majority of the vote. I guess you're talking square miles.

Yep, HRC won the popular vote.

Meaningless on so many levels that the liberal mind can not or will not accept.

If there are any governmental concepts the founding fathers got right, it's that we are a republic and with an electoral college.

Your boi just got his ass handed to him by another republican.

Good thing he doesn't need all of them to further his agenda.

Then why is the same concept unconstitutional at the state level? It seems that if it was such a grand concept, it would also be applicable for states.

No it's not.

Also, it was Trump's ability to divide people that spawned this all. Most people took little notice of the NFL or they just villified CK. Nobody flipped on the NFL until Trump called them SOB's.

Snowflakes

Trump called us a mean word! He made us all kneel. Boo hoo!

And?

The Titans and Steelers didn't want to make a statement and they stayed in the locker room. People were just as mad at them. Trump is a **** stirrer who is successfully distracting the nut huggers from his failures.

Mr Personal Responsibility blaming Trump for making NFL players kneel.

They all chose to kneel. They're the ones who chose to alienate most of their fans.

I didn't say he made them kneel. I said he divided people. Stick to the facts, bro. I know it makes it harder to argue your side, but try your best. :good!:

He "divided" people... please.

What the hell does that even mean? He voiced an opinion that 100% of people don't agree with?

Don't be such a puss
