I like Glenn, don't care how he stays alive, as long as he is. This is a popcorn show. I don't care about realism or anything else. I like Glenn. Bring him back.

I also think he will be back.

Back as a walker, atleast that would be how Maggie finds out he is dead(undead)

I hope that Daryl is the one that gets Lucille'd. Change things up a bit. Part of the reason it was so shocking in the comics is that Glenn was a major character and one of Rick's right hand guys and he isn't that guy in this show...but Daryl is.

I was thinking that as well. Also you made a great point about them being out of bullets and using the knives. It could be that what we saw is a hallucination by Nicholas and what transpires is a possibility that he is thinking about.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. I think the fact that how it happened was so dumb pretty much zaps any emotion out of it, plus how they seemingly just moved on without dwelling on it at all. Plus I disagree because dude with the note got just as emotional death and setup as Glenn did in the same episode.

You're kind of going back and forth here. On one hand you're chalking up things to the unrealistic way things are handled (i.e. intestines in chest, the way dumbass fell on Glenn) as it's just "the walking dead", but then turn around and say he almost certainly must be dead. Like you said, it's the walking dead, so why would they suddenly be held to realistic details with Glenn's situation when they can't even get how the body fell and where intestines are correct?

It's pretty obvious to me that's not Glenn's chest. Look at the position of his chin in relation to what is being ripped open, it's pretty clear to me that's Nicholas' body on top of him.

Only way I see him escaping is if he guts one of the Walkers on top of him and lays low...zombie guts trick. And it would be a cheat.

not going back and forth at all.

Glenn's death is ok by me regardless of how it happened. i say it's realistic because not every person dies some heroic, gallant death. reality is you can die anytime and in any manner no matter who you are. i can see those behind the WD going that route/making that point.

but just because they do one thing realistic to life doesn't mean they aren't going to accidentally goof up other things and or stretch certain things to get what they want.

just for the record, I do think it's very likely that Nicholas landed on him and is the one getting his intestines ripped out, I'm just pointing out that Glenn's expression seems to go beyond that. that, and that regardless if Nicolas is on top of him or not, Glenn should still have no chance of escaping.

considering how fast they tear through human flesh and the fact the glenn is making noise, i don't see how he could just go completely unscathed.

also, should nicholas be on top of him, the way it's shot with the entrails being eaten right in front of glenn's face, would mean that there isn't a whole lot of nicholas covering up glenn to begin with. they'll be on glenn within seconds.

So I've been on TWD message boards reading speculation on Glenn, and there was a theory that got me thinking. People think that Glenn calling Rick a dumbass last night was a nod to the first episode when Rick was in the tank. That could be true, but there were other parrallels. One was the shot of the dumpster from above. It was completely surrounded. It looked eerily similar to the tank being surrounded in the first episode. In the second episode when Rick and Glenn had made it to safety, Glenn said something about how he hoped someone would help him if he was in that situation. The stairs in the alley were blocked. Maybe someone was staying in the area. I know it's all unlikely. Just a thought.

Daryl getting killed would cause some sort of revolt. I'm not sure you bring that kind of heat to your own show.

Random thought, but could this be the show's way of testing the waters on killing a major character. Too much backlash and they bring him back not enough and he dies?

Interesting theory if they hadn't already filmed the following episodes. Maybe they have found a way around it, but you would think that Glenn's fate, whatever it may be, has already been decided and filmed.

Since he's been isolated from everyone else at this point they could film him struggling to get back to Alexandria and nobody else on the crew would be aware of it until later when they cut the scenes into one or more episodes. All of that of course provided he didn't die. I wouldn't be surprised if they drag out this Glenn mystery for at least another 4 episodes. It's what TWD does after all.

Now why the hell didn't Glenn and Nick not jump in the trash can ??? I smell would prevent them from smelling u and the there would be no sound so the walkers would of walked away

If Glen survived they better show every step of how exactly how he escaped unlike last years finale when he had two or three fall on him then they cut away and didn't show how he survived (btw, shouldn't he still have a gunshot wound in his shoulder?)

My guess, Nicholas fell on top and the walkers were eating him. Something is going to happen near by like some gun shots, a flare, or whatever that will distract the bulk of the walkers giving Glen an opening to escape.

You need to watch the trailer and the this episode again. That wasn't Maggie in the trailer.
