When it becomes Die Hard eight minutes for a hand grenade to detonate cartoony. I don't nitpick much about the laws of physics that are violated on this show, but Glenn surviving would be akin to the Walkers ripping off his face and revealing that he and Heath had switched places using masks. :pinch:

Characters are Peanut like in their garb. We start identifying them with mere glimpses. Rick and Darryl look baked into theirs. Maggie has that awesome tee and it'd be easy to ID her mistakenly and it end up an Alexandrian.

They've been wildly inconsistent on how things work on the show. Some dead turn quickly to walkers, some take all freakin' night. They devour some people quickly but some have been shown to almost slowly munch.

Also Tyreese and the Governor were both covered up by a ton of walkers and both somehow made it out without a scratch, and Tyreese did it with a freakin' hammer (yeah I know it happened in the comics and that was a nod to it, but still). This show takes great liberties when convenient and this situation probably won't be any different.

Didn't get to watch until last night and had the Glenn scene basically spoiled thanks to social media.

Here's my take: Glen is not dead "yet". The biggest smoking gun for me comes from the shenanigans on Talking Dead following the episode:

1. Glenn was not on the couch. Every major character that dies is immediately on that couch following their last show
2. Weird Gimple message to viewers about Glen's death. Hasn't been done for other major deaths; to me they are obviously "overselling" Glen's demise
3. No Glen montage "In Memorandum" BUT Nicholas was there

Glen has a proven, un-explainable ability to find a way out of very sticky situations. Consider the following:

- Survives the prison plague that basically killed everyone else that got it
- imprisoned by the govn'r, handcuffed, and fended off a walker in a tiny cell
- shot by Nicholas and got dog-piled by a gang of walkers - somehow got away unbitten

Glenn is one of my favorites but his "death" still didn't hit me as hard as Jon Snows in GoT. Although I think Jon Snow returns and Glenn some how didn't die. Plus I didn't get to watch TWD live on sunday, so I already knew about Glenn.

well i don't really count the bold as wildly inconsistent. i think it just varies from person to person.

you are right that they are wildly inconsistent on stuff.

but still, the way they shot that scene, it would be stupid as ****, if all of it was for nothing.

and at least in Tyreese and the Governor's situations, they had a weapon and were on their feet. Glenn most likely dropped his weapon and is trapped under a body being torn apart by a horde of walkers.

Doubtful...I think the ones that attacked Alexandria were part of a test assault. Probe and check the town's defenses. Maybe part of a larger group that wiped out Noah's town. If that was all of the Wolves, that's pretty weak sauce.

I don't think their group would be that large. They had about what, 10-15 attack Alexandria? If there are some left it's not many IMO. Attacking Alexandria would require almost all of your people IOT overrun it.

Don't know...Carol killed 6-7 by herself. Carl got the one. Aaron 3-4. Rick's girlfriend 1. Morgan actually killed one. Rick killed at least 6 at the RV. I thought that included the ones Morgan let walk. (Not so sure now). It just seems like they were all mindless drones. Not the leader types who set up those Walker booby traps last year. Maybe the Wolves are just a splinter group of whatever Negan heads and you're correct.

The Governor's sort of, but Tyreese was shown being overwhelmed. The only reason he was able to fight them off was they stopped and waited their turn to get hit much like an old Kung Fu movie. I mean the ones behind him are literally just standing there, which is completely silly.

Not sure. I was surprised by how many there were in the attack since we only saw two in last seasons finale.

Also those fresh bodies should give Rick a little reprieve from the approaching horde.

ok dude, i guess i should have added this in my last post, but i'm not arguing with you that those situations weren't ridiculous. i'm just saying they still were in better positions than glenn, that's all.

not arguing with you over most of this stuff. i am completely aware of how stupid this show can get at times.

Well from what I've read it's going to just leave us aggravated and wanting to move on. I read that it will be a 90 minute Morgan back flash episode to give us time for our Glenn questions to sink in.

Yeah, but that's like saying Vandy is better than Missouri. Technically true, but they still suck.

My point is if they can have Tyreese get out of that with no bite, it's not really a stretch they can pull something out of their rears to get him out of the current one; especially as it's been pointed out last season he had 3 walkers on top of him with a gunshot wound and didn't even show us how he got of that.

i'm completely lost on why we are still going back and forth here haha i figured we'd be on the same page by now.

Glenn SHOULD be dead. they may very well keep him alive, cause it's the freaking Walking Dead, but he should be 100% dead, especially with how they filmed it and the callbacks and what not earlier in the episode, besides the fact of how hopeless his situation is. letting him live through that would be stupid, even slightly more stupid than the tyreese scenario you mentioned.

this show does more things wrong than they do right, but I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt for now and hope that they lean more towards the "right" side and let him die.

I thought this was a sad attempt at a Jon Snow thing that TWD writers thought was going to work. That's what makes it so terrible in quality.

perhaps Glenn's death isn't complete - perhaps we only got the first half of the incident and the writers are going to make us endure it again with a conclusion after the Morgan-athon.

I think everyone agrees we need some stinkin' closure here.

The Talking Dead shenanigans only add to the convolution
