The Walking Dead

At the time I didn't think it was that bad. Then I rewatched it and....yeah that pretty much sums it up. They had like 3 of the same "Leave/We can't leave!" arguments between Hershel and Rick.

And wasn't that when Lori's dumb ass had a car crash and was the only one driving on the road?

I think it being a new show that everyone was excited about and characters we were still getting to know helped hide how boring that season was.

Lol yeah it was. Chicks man...

Yeah the Lori drama and them looking for the little girl the whole season was super boring and annoying. They could have made that season a lot shorter.

6 long episodes that
useless
search for Sophia drug out.

as much as they drew out the search in S2, the conclusion at the barn was well worth it IMO. Easily one of my favorite scenes in the series. plus we got some good character development from Daryl.

my major issues with S2 (aside from dragging out the search too long) stem from just making Andrea and Lori such painfully unlikable characters. Even Dale became fairly annoying. T-Dawg became completely non-existent. plus all those group debates and "get off my farm" back and forth yada yada yada.

I'll agree on Daryl, the Daryl centered episode was really good. IMO

I thought the Shane transition was important. It was to establish Rick's downfall a season or so ago.

The lull is only about 4 episodes of S2 before the mid season finale. The second half of the season with eh build up of the Shane story was great though.

Agree. Shane is top 5 characters this show has ever done imo. A character they expanded upon greatly from the comic and it payed off big time.

Shane and Rick had like 5 long drawn out bro heart to heart conversations per episode that season. It was nauseating.

To each their own, but I like the Shane and Rick stuff. Its some of the most important story telling in the show. Shane was ahead of his time in realizing you have to do some ****ed up **** to survive in this world. Overtime Rick realized that.

In the comics the Shane story was over in about 6 issues. Mainly because Kirkman wasn't sure the series would last past that so he wrapped it up quickly.

The show did Shane way better.

Perhaps I'm in the minority, but I think we're gonna see some kind of major change with Morgan. He's either gonna go HAM and start slaying walkers or he's gonna go crazy and lock up one of our heroes.

He did appear to be building a cell.

Morgan is a ticking time bomb, imo... it's not if but when.

His extreme live-and-let-live idealism is the glue that holds him together as a sane person; remember this guy was feral for a long time - a complete madman.

The longer he's at odds with the group and their methods, the more his grasp on sanity is going to slip. And when he's finally forced to kill again, I'm not sure he'll be able to keep the feral and the pacifist Morgan separated.

Well we saw Daryl get his bike back so I wonder if that means his crossbow is coming home soon too?

that's a very interesting prediction.

much like the comics, i think Abe is safe for now.

butch, please use spoilers next time

I'm confused...

About this time in the comic is when Abe gets killed by Dwight with the arrow. So I'm not sure what you mean by "much like the comics"
