The Walking Dead

Well, the N word was used for over 100 years and what we all grew up with. Never heard any other version. Can't imagine Neegan using any other version.

I grew up in the 80's and always heard tiger. Never heard the other version till I heard some drunk redneck say it at a party in college.

Surprised noone has mentioned this yet. Anyone else see the commerical featuring new AMC show starring one Norman Reedus??

It's a little Summer show
Probably to bribe him to continue TWD.
Not a major movie
Not his own series.
Doubt he goes anywhere

Heard both versions growing up.

This is a strange thing to get your knickers in a twist about...

Not aimed at you burnt. :hi:
There are some highly rustled jimmies in this thread.

Was I entertained? Yes
Could it have been better? Yes
Could it have been worse? Yes
Did a horse die through very stupid means? NO!
For the first time a horse survived an interaction with one of the Season 1 cast!! Amazing but true.

:)

You make a valid case for Abraham but I kinda think the writers want him around for the war to come. Kirkman has expressed regret about killing g his character too soon in the comics.

Aaron is just too minor. If they think k fans are pissed about the cliffhanger they will absolutely jump ship if they wait 5-6 months for it to be him.

Glenn is the obvious choice. Maybe too obvious. I think they will go another direction to keep comic readers on their toes.

Daryl seems like the most likely candidate to me. He's popular but his character has kind of run its coarse.

That said, I think k it's Eugene. His attempt at a hero moment and giving Rick the recipe for bullets combined with his closure with Abraham is just the perfect set up to send him off.

I personally hope it's not Glenn or Daryl but if it's either oh well. I have to disagree a bit about Daryl's story being told. He has unfinished business with Dwight.

Coug, what makes you think it's not a woman?

I don't know for certain but it's just a hunch. Negan doesn't condone rape against women among his followers so It's a safe bet he doesn't bash their heads in with bats either.

I've listened to that about 100 times and I still don't hear this supposed "Maggie!" line. I hear something but IMHO people are hearing what they want to hear.

Plus none of the extra stuff was even in the audio of the actual episode.

Makes you wonder if the audio leaked is actually for the cold open of the season premiere this fall.

Do the writers really know who they are going to kill or did they just give themselves 7 extra more months to really think about it?

I think the presence of the first person POV was a big clue to whom you can narrow down who was killed at the end of the episode. Through out the episode they kept showing the view from inside the trailer where the hostages where kept. So that is the view of the person that was killed in my opinion. So that narrows it down to Glenn, Daryl, Rosita, or Michonne.

If you watch the scene where they were being taken out of the van, the POV shows the back of Daryl's head, so it can't be him. I think it's Glenn.

I didn't catch the name of Negan's #2 but that dude is Trevor from GTA 5. Thought it was funny how similar they made his character to his actual appearance.

I read somewhere that even the actors don't know who gets killed. When they start filming again in June, they might reshoot the whole scene and then show you who got the bat. They're using this time right now to figure out who they're going to kill off for sure before they start filming again. That's why they left us with a cliffhanger to keep us fans guessing. That was Gimple and Kirkman's plan all along IMO.

This is my thinking as well, probably taking time and gauging fan reaction before deciding. I'm guessing with the negative reactions to how it ended they play it safe with Aaron or Eugene. Which if true is just chicken **** writing. IMO

Yup and will really ruin the impact of Negan. Aaron and Eugene are not main characters and thier deaths would be a big MEH to me. It needs to be Daryl, Glann, or maybe even Abraham to really showe the TV audience that Negan is the Apex Villain of the series. The Governor or Alpha are small time compared to him imo.

Plus I still have no doubt that it was Glenn that got Lucelled. The only other one that I could believe would be Abraham, but Glenn was the one that gor the honor imo.

Awesome season with an awesome finale IMO.

TWD fans still proving they are just like the adult WWE fans. Anytime the outcome isn't exactly what they wanted they bellyache and moan but keep right on watching.

There was no outcome. You could say that if people complained about who died. Most fans aren't complaining about who could die. They thought it was a cheap ploy. Which I agree.

That's because the Trevor character from GTA V is actually modeled off that guy. That guy did the voice for Trevor in the game as well.

Sure, there was an outcome. Someone got their head bashed in by Neegan. People put too much emphasis on deaths and can't sit back and enjoy the show.

Just like the people saying that because Glenn narrowly escaped death that they are gonna be pissed if he gets killed. What kind of cap is that? I can't understand the supposed logic behind that thought.

This was the best half season of TWD ever IMO and it had an awesome finale.

Who is Alpha?

I stopped watching WWE. I'm not near there with TWD.

BTW, finale seems to be taking hits from everybody.

I guess all the critics that have slammed it are TWD fanboys then.

I agree with pretty much everything you said.

Except... I do see how the drawn out Glenn fake death takes away from a "who is it" season ending cliff hanger should it be Glenn. If it hadn't been the same season then maybe not so much. It also cheapens the way the fake-death dramatized in hind-sight.

There my not be logic behind it, but I understand the emotions behind it.

Yep; it's not like it's getting rave reviews from critics and it's just hardcore fans complaining; across the board the critics have slammed it, so much that Gimple is in full 100% apologetics mode.

As I said earlier, even The Nerdist slammed it, and that's Hardwick's site.

What I want to know is how that many people with torches and headlights and whistling and a 15 minute monologue don't attract every walker for miles.

It was an awesome episode. If they had shown the death of a character then I think most would have loved the finale. It was an intense episode.

People are griping because of the cliffhanger. That's understandable but at the same time I think many have just reached the point where they are hate watching.

I'm in the minority, I know, but I liked the finale along with the last half of the season. I thought they really redeemed the series and have it going in the right direction. I especially liked how the camera shots, as the episode progressed, got smaller and smaller. I thought that really added to the suspense and feel of the group becoming boxed in by Negan and his group.

Morgan getting the drop on that guy while riding a horse, however, was an obvious weak point.
