The Walking Dead

How many of the 18.4 million viewers do y'all think get on the Internet to discuss the show?

I don't know, but again the backlash was big enough that Gimple, Kirkman, and Hardwick all had to address it several times, and Kirkman even gave a half ass apology. If it were merely just a small vocal minority, they wouldn't have bothered.

Also Glenn's death impacts the whole group and sets up Maggie to become the leader of the Hill Top. IMO he needs to die to keep the comic book story going. Also those near death experiences he's had was a foreshadow of his real death. Everyone expects Glenn to survive through the Lucille moment but finally his luck runs out and gets his head bashed in by Negan. If they want to add more shock value, have Negan kill another character that no one was expecting to die.

Except in the show they've already established her as a strong leader set up to lead the hilltop. She even cut her hair on the show before the Lucille incident, in the comic all that happened after Glenn died.

Also, did you not watch the entire season? They foreshadowed Glenn being the victim all season, and not very subtlety.

The worst season of TWD is when they are on the farm looking for Sophia.

With the Glenn death fake out and the subsequent "how could he have possibly survived" scenes it would be really dumb to bash his head in at this point. It would negate the whole point of the cliffhanger as well since by now everyone knows it's "supposed" to be Glenn in the comics. Everyone is expecting it to be Glenn so the smart play is to bash in Abraham's head, leave Glenn alive, and leave it at that.

The worst part for me, was after the farm was overrun. Following each miniature group of 2 or 3, is annoying as hell. They're members some are not even that fond of and to have an entire episode dedicated to them? Followed by trying to remember where the original 2/3 were? I don't binge watch so I don't like that.
The commercials for fear, are looking like that's exactly where they're headed also.

But these are minor complaints. Everyone on here griping so much about the show, I would change things also.
But I see no point in complaining to the extent some of you all (fans world wide) are. This is exactly how I end up with a good show cancelled and another freaking reality TV spot in its place.

This isn't exactly what I was talking about. I was specifically talking about their exhibit, but this is about total engagement, and they were only behind Conan.

The other thing from TWD was a photo shoot that was getting shared like crazy. It was all the actors playing with wiffle ball bats and hitting Negan with them.

The kind of people that write on message boards tend to be critics and the kind of people that tend to share instagram photos are fanboys, so IDK which numbers to trust about overall what the fans think of it.

Just because people share stuff doesn't mean the backlash wasn't real. I know plenty of people that are still going to watch that thought the finale was crap.

i don't think most people expect glenn to die because it was in the comic book. everyone expects glenn to live to keep the cliffhanger going.

if glenn were to die, it would be a big suprise.

Some people think that since lines were quoted directly from the comic into that last episode that they will want to stay true to the comic even though they haven't necessarily done that all along.

I don't recall a split up after the farm but there was one after the prison before they all arrive at Terminus. We all knew those people though and I didn't mind the characters. Honestly extra people didn't really bother me until they started to cram Alexandria members down our throat.

This. The only split was the main group and Andrea. I don't mind a few Alexandria members. Aaron is a good character. Obviously Deeana had to play her role, being the leader and all. I like Heath and even Toben too. I agree that there have been too many though.

It'd be hilarious if TWD pulled off the ultimate FU to the Spoiling Dead Fans and filmed the Glenn scenes without them seeing.

Yeah, sorry.
The post prison split up was on again last Sunday. It was just on my mind.

There was a temporary split after the farm and Andrea's more long-term exit.
But the one after the prison just isn't my personal preference.
I just like covering a couple of different groups in one show instead of an entire show without any of the other characters.

So apparently Jeffery Dean Morgan was on a Q&A panel hosted by Kevin Smith with Steven Yeun, Andrew Lincoln, and Norman Reedus at SDCC, and when asked about who Negan killed, JDM said "No one on this stage" and laughed.

I think he was clearly joking but apparently some are running with it. The clip is here:

‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: Negan Actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan Just Revealed Who Wasn’t Killed

Abraham, Michonne, or Maggie is likely if that's the case he's telling the truth. Who the hell knows at this rate.

I think that sounded real, like he wasn't trying to troll everyone. It's going to be Abraham imho.

I have a hard time believing Maggie taking a shot from Lucille "like a champ".

Zero chance its Maggie or Michonne, if they grow the balls to do that someone please tell me in a separate thread so I can start watching again. TIA

My only real complaint is making the walkers nothing more than an annoyance.

I'm an old school George Romero guy.
I appreciate the human danger element but a zombie show (why I tuned in to start) where the zombies are only a minor distraction, seems somewhat...

Either way, as a viewer who is disgusted by discovery, history and so on, featuring nothing but guys in Alaska buying old cars and racing them while crab fishing?
I still believe many of today's fans overreact to small imperfections.

We dvr, skip the bill paying commercials, then complain about the product we receive.
And yes, I see the irony in my post.
I'm spoiled also. F me.

I've thought it was going to be Abraham or Eugene since the finale. Abraham is already dead in the comics, and he could take a couple Lucille hits like a champ. Also, he's one of the bigger, head strong characters int he group so taking him out would make a statement.

I will say if it's Maggie then Gimple will win back some points with me. Not that I want to see that happen but it would definitely be something no one is really thinking about.

There is zero chance they take out Maggie but that'd definitely be a true shocker move. That'd be effed up on so many levels.

Wasn't Maggie already messed up being carried on an improvised stretcher?

Maggie was suffering from something for sure. Either food poisoning, an illness, or a miscarriage.
