The Walking Dead

They storynis much darker in the comic. Maggie hangs herself in a tree for instance and is saved by Glenn. Instead of all the feel good stuff the show throws at viewers I prefer a darker/grittier line. There is no hope in this situation, there is no safe zone, just survival.

What you're saying is this would be so much different on HBO?

I would say for standard cable it pushes the envelope quite a bit.

At the same time I do agree that it gets a little too "feel good" at times.

If you're a fan of the show but aren't happy with the results, you can hope the one thing that will get through to the writers and showrunners, the ratings, will compel them to improve.

Basically, this is exactly how I feel.

You mean like fiing roller skates?

JDM seriously needs to gain weight to be like the comic book Negan. His acting is phenomenal but his physical appearance doesn't look intimidating at all. That kind of ruins it for me IMO.

Cyndie definitely needs to join Alexandria

I'm surprised Tara didn't stay at Oceanside in the end. It was like an all-you-can-eat buffet at the Lesbo Golden Corral.

Nothing stopping her from going back...now that she found out her main course got it through her head that Dwight's crossbow aim sucks.

Thought the episode had some good moments and the Oceanside community was cool, but Tara's out of the blue comedy shtick was odd. She's never been like that in the series at all, and it was totally out of character for her. I don't mind the show delving into episodes focusing on character stories and development, but this was a strange one.

I disagree. Ever since she was introduced, you got the little smartazz vibe from her. That prison attack, Terminus deal and trying to stay alive whilst deferring to some grim leaders probably muted her material for awhile. And that's the humor the actress displays on Talking Dead...so it's more natural.

I actually kind of agree with Butch here (shocking i know). Her character has always displayed that kind of vibe. That said, it didn't always work all that well in the episode last night.

I'm probably in the minority, but I actually kind of like Tara. It's actually somewhat surprising and refreshing to see her develop from what I believed was just a typical minor "redshirt" role that wouldn't/shouldn't have made it past seasons 5-6, into a fairly (somewhat) fleshed out character that has now gotten her own central feature story-line episode. Still, it was a very odd decision, and the episode itself was pretty odd at that.

Also, that being said, Tara is a really ****ing terrible liar. My god.

The basic plot of this episode wasn't bad. But there was definitely some very laughable scenes.

I couldn't help chuckling at the whole escape on the bridge. One minute Tara had 12 walkers behind her and none the next. Then the flashback to getting pushed off the bridge. It was pretty bad.

That's why I say some of this is getting Z Nation bad; I get some of this is plot driven but it's getting funny how inconsistent the walker actions and reactions are. One scene they can rip you apart easily and are on top of you in an instant, the next scene they take their sweet time to get to you, and then the next they don't really attack you, they just kind of crowd up next to you then push you over the side of the bridge.

Also, I'm finding it a bit hard to believe that this group could escape totally from the grasp of The Saviors. They can't be that far away from it all if Tara could make it back to Alexandria in a reasonable time frame, and they already knew they existed from when they killed all the men.

You guys pick the strangest things to complain about. I mean, Tara was literally surrounded by crazy bltches with automatic rifles and not a single bullet even grazes her. Are you kidding me with that?

Crazy *****es can't shoot straight when they are all worked up.
Plus the young lady who helped Tara mentioned she was one of the better shooters, I think.
I think Tara was a little goofy because she thought she had fallen into lesbian nirvana...then thrown for a loop when they were without males because Negan killed them all, not because they were Amazonian wannabes.

Stolen from talking dead but they had the aim of storm troopers.

So we missed something else stupid; that doesn't make anything else we said any less dumb.
