The Walking Dead

The show is a chore at this point. Just want to see it though.

I have been able to find enjoyment in even the most tedious episodes. But the last one was tough. I didn’t mind the Rick storyline. But I wanted to claw my eyes out during the Heap segment.

That episode was brutal. I agree with all the criticism about Negan and his hands not being tied up enough then left with the guns, the flair, and the pics. Lost a lot of respect for Rick in this one. That was cold blooded.

I was pleased with the first half of this season but it has gone mostly sideways.

I’m prepared that the end of the season is just going to set up some lame “We’re getting Negan next season, for reals!” and it will be apparent this season was a gigantic filler.

It’s just hard to take Negan seriously in the TV Version.

He’s mostly just your average crazy guy who loves power but when it comes down to being independent without his men, he isn’t any tougher than the previous villains like Gareth and The Governor.

His character was a letdown and I feel bad for JDM having to put up with the lame writing.

There was one point Sunday that I thought was going to be a turning point for the character, when she was pushing him out and he stopped talking like a d-bag and starting talking almost normal. I thought maybe for once we'd see a character that resembled a real person and not a caricature of a comic character. But then he immediately went back to d-bag talk and I went back to rolling my eyes.

I can't stress how much the show's dialogue and acting screams "trying way too hard". Every conversation seems like they're being instructed to act like they're trying to win an Emmy and it comes across as so forced and unnatural.

yep, definitely need some new blood in the directing camp. they're just regurgitating the same stuff week in and week out. the writing has just not evolved either.

What’s the deal with the helicopter?

The show does aggravate me sometimes but I wanted more action and I got it. It’s just they are dragging it out. Most of the season could have fit into one ephisode. Maybe once they move on for another town it’ll get more interesting again.

Should’ve kept Shane around Rick, You’re awfully a lot like him. Maybe CAAAARL would still be alive Rick.

I was saying Rick was acting very Shane like back when he first started his plot to take over Alexandria.

It was one thing when they took those outpost Saviors in their sleep 2 seasons ago. It was a questionable action for the protagonist of the show but they established them as the bad guys. Killing those Saviors who were talking about flipping sides was a sleazy move. Makes it very hard to root for Rick after that.

I would say Rick’s trust level is pretty low after the junk people but he was willing to give them 3 chances.

Next time I hear “you have my wuuuurd!”, I scream “headshot!” I don’t care which character he’s talking to.

Shane doesn’t look like a bad guy now compared to the things Rick & the group has done.

In a way, I can understand taking no chances to survive but giving your word to a group of people who saved you from walkers then stabbing them in the back is very sleazy.

I think the helicopter means the introduction of the New World Order next season. Im actually starting to think that they're just gonna skip the whisperers and go straight to the NWO.

I thought last night was a tad better, but still kinda meh. The whole thing with Eugene getting captured and escaping was pretty dumb. Once again this show has to have their characters that should be much better at stuff like this go completely stupid for it to move the story along.

I really hope they actually end this "war" next week, but I'm not holding my breath. And woe to them if they leave it on another Season 6 like cliffhanger.

yeah, how do you let that guy get away?

and i thought the fight with simon was over the top. after all that, negan still gonna give him "his shot"? really?

BS, the negan we were introduced to waaaaaay back when, would have let Lucile eat. done.

and the way they let things happen in the background w/out ever showing it, like how Dwight got busted...they let that stuff go by the wayside, but let this other stuff drag and drag and drag. i mean, i get it, we now know who he picked up on the side of the road....but that was like 6 episodes ago or something when she went missing.

next week's episode better wrap some crap up. agreed.

Seems like I read they promised the war would be over by seasons end.

But they will definitely leave something hanging for next season.

Whether Rick kills Negan or not then credits start rolling.

Then we see Negan’s fate at the beginning of Season 9.

Seems like something TWD would do.

I was completely caught up using a free streaming site. But the last two episodes haven’t been loaded. Normally they’re up within an hour.

Not only that, but the way it played out was so unintentionally funny. Dude pukes on Rosita and it was like she got stunned by it. She stands there going "DOH" while he starts running. And she starts running and there are 2 walkers there and instead of just running around them on the OTHER side, she runs right at them and engages them.

And then he's able to hide like he did? Daryl, who is supposedly an awesome tracker, loses freakin' Eugene?

I’ll be back next year. :)

The Eugene capture and escape better have more of a payoff than what transpired in this episode.

The little game Negan played with Simon and Dwight was a bit much. It was obvious Negan was on to Dwight the during their first conversation.
