The Weightlifters Thread

I eat a lot of meat. Love the stuff. I eat mostly chicken breast, pork loin, and fish. I have red meat, usually a 16+ oz ny strip, on Friday. That's it for red meat. I don't eat any processed meat.

I added a tip from Men's Health I read last year and I never have a single meal without eating something green. Usually raw, but occasionally lightly steamed.

I ordered from nutraplanet or something, because they had jack3d in stock, too. Now they are out of the protein.

I don't usually practice enough discretion in where I order from online and supply my CC info. :)

It worries me that I don't have a confirmation email yet. Maybe I archived it and forgot I ever received it.

Gonna have to go down to 1 mounded scoop of jack3d, I guess. Can't eat after my workout, because I feel like I'm gonna be sick. I get so wired on it.

Of course, it may also be because I took C20 on an empty stomach, and didn't really each much pre-workout with it.

Fast twitch muscle fibers. Any thoughts?

I would like to focus training my legs in a way that is beneficial for sports. I want to be able to run bases faster, and jump higher for basketball. Does anyone with sports training experience have any tips?

On legs day yesterday, I did "drop and explode" squats and lunges. My legs are as sore as they've been since I started my workouts. Has anyone seen the benefits of trying to train their "fast twitch" fibers, before?

I've researched a little about it online, and there's a lot of conflicting information, as usual.

Nope. I'm not signing a 5 year contract with a $200 enrollment fee and paying $60/mo. National Fitness is the only other gym within 5 minutes of my work.

If you're in Knoxville, call Charlie Petrone. Sports training is his forte. He's trained Chad Pennington, Todd Helton, Brandt Snedeker and most recently Harrison Smith. He's got a very basic gym, but everything you would need. Might be worth calling to see how much it would cost for you to work out there. I'd say it would be worth at least the cost of a couple training sessions.

lol I play pickup basketball and kickball with friends. I don't really think I'm gonna enlist Todd Helton's old trainer to help me do that. :)

He also trains old geezers who like fly fishing and hiking in the smokies. And housewives who want to keep their figures.

When I first showed up at his gym I wondered if I was in the right place. It looks like a barn or a big shed. His workout kicked my ass though.

After my lift this morning I tried the new Isopure Black Tea. The flavor was just OK, but it replaced my morning coffee which I'm happy about. Kills two birds w 1 stone.
