The WRASSLIN’ Thread

I just got around to seeing the Shida/Storm. Good sendoff for AEW 200 to have it main event and Shida win the belt again. It was a fun match ,too. I'm a big fan of Shida.

Edit: Forgot about her first title reign being during the Covid era with no fans in attendance so this was big to win in front of a huge crowd.. Could see her going against Saraya with the PPV being in England. I know they had plans for Hayter there.

Anybody catch the Dark Side of the Ring Bash at the Beach episode yet? Man, to me it really makes Hogan and Bischoff look like total pieces of sh*t and Russo actually looks like the good guy. I hated Russo for so long, but I am starting to think that it was Hogan and Bischoff that killed WCW.

We can debate about this all day long, but the weirdest thing is on Jeff Jarrett's podcast, he kinda tells a different story than Dark Side and puts all the blame on Russo. I will say this, if everyone was on the same page, that would've been a hell of a story line that might've succeeded. I am partial though because Hulk Hogan is everything to me on the entertainment side of wrestling. Hogan really got the business side of things and that's why he is living the high life for the rest of his life.

Yeah, I still think I hate Russo though lol.

Hogan did a lot for the buisness in the 80s and 90s. He did a lot to hurt WCW with his politicking. It certainly benefited him. But it began to was bad for the promotion as time went on. Him being important to the buisness and one of the downfalls of WCW can both be true. I don't like Hogan, Bischoff, or Russo honestly. Russo's time had passed. Bischoff had caught lightning in a bottle and couldn't replicate it. Hogan was looking out for #1 at the expense of everything else. Plenty of blame to go around IMO.

Who thinks Solo turns on Reigns tonight??!

I don't think so... At least not yet anyway. Reigns will likely retain the belt, but it will be interesting to see how it plays out. WWE could have put Rhea on the show defending her belt against someone, and Trish and Becky would've been interesting, but that's just me nitpicking. I'll be watching it regardless, and am still looking forward to it.
