Mods please..for the love of all things Holy delete the last few pages. Literally nothing good will come from this argument. It never will.

Thank goodness society has never taken this approach as a whole. We'd still be living in huts debating the appropriate use of fire.

You keep bringing the naturalist argument to this. If a person is not one and chooses to have an authority on a more cerebral plane than believing that man cannot control or modify sexual behavior there is nothing left to say. The next logical argument would be for unfettered sexuality 'naturally' flows to bestiality and pedophilia. The restraints on most behavior in many cultures, including this one trace pretty far back.

Call it for what it is - an agenda to develop a separate class of people that is protected under the law regardless of that class' long term effect on society. I will simple reference the former Roman Empire and leave it there. Nothing new under the sun.

What happens between two consenting adults can't be compared to bestiality or pedophilia.

How is it a problem? You cannot, I repeat, CANNOT change peoples minds by changing policies. It simply doesnt matter and to those it does matter to its a waste of time trying to change their minds.

Yeah, Because Slavery and women's rights were never a things.

You ever met a gay person? Any gay people in your family? Have any gay friends? I know a few gay people and I'll 100% guarantee you they didn't chose to be gay, they were born that way.

You lost me at fact.

Yes I do have a someone gay in my family. And yes it is a choice. Is someone born a murderer? A rapist? A liar? A cheater? Addicted to pornography or alcohol? No. Circumstances in their childhood can make them more prone to those things because we are all born sinners.

Just let people be. That's the only thing that will allow us as human beings coexist. It does not matter what a persons sexual preference is.

I wish that people would not make a big deal about it on either side, if you for it or against it.

Just live.

C'mon now Ron.

People can't choose to be gay?

How's this. Choosing to be gay is just like any other sin. Supporting it is just like supporting any other sin. Accepting it just like accepting any other sin. We will all stand before our Creator one day and will give an account of our actions. If you want to ignore that fact or just choose to not believe it then that's your choice. Love the person, hate the sin.

Spot on, and agree 100%! Romans 1:24-27 is very clear about God's stance on homosexuality.

Say what you will. I'm just saying it doesn't belong in the football talk thread. All it's gonna do is get people pissed off & the debate will never end.

I would take an all-gay defense if there were 11 players playing like Sam playing last year. The guy is a monster and I, for one, am glad the first openly gay NFL hopeful is a stereotype shattering defensive bad ass.

Good for him.

Should be a prerequisite, IMO. Would add a neat wrinkle to the game...

You're wrong on this one, Ron. Gay would love to believe they were born that way, so that's what they tell themselves.

It was a choice just like you chose to sleep with a woman.

Sin is most definetly a choice.

Many homophobes love to make that leap, don't they? Gay people want to rape children and dogs in their minds. It's all ignorance and fear.

Well said...just to add to it. People born with gay desires are no different than people born with the desire to lie, cheat, murder, rape. From a biblical view, sins come in many forms.Humans tend to place levels of degree on them; some worse than others, but to God, Sin is sin. Being born with the desire to sin is human. Choosing to resist those desires is what makes us seek to be like Christ who resisted all sin. Having homosexual desires does not make you gay just as having the desire to drink doesn't make you an alcoholic. Its acting on the desires that separate us from God's love. In turn, all men sin and thanks to Christ dying on the cross, all men can be forgiven from those mistakes.

There's a difference between having sex with a consenting adult and having sex with a non-consenting animal or child.

And I don't know what you're getting at in your second paragraph.

It's a complicated situation (obviously). Look at the news from the last couple months. You got the guy from Duck Dynasty absolutely torn to shreds in the media. Then the guy from the Bachelor is asked how he feels about having a "gay" edition of the Bachelor. He was negative towards the idea. What do you know, he gets torn to shreds by the media and has to issue an apology. Now whether one agrees or disagrees with what these guys said, if you're American you should understand that these individuals have the right to believe what they want to believe and say what they want to say. On the other spectrum every time someone comes out they get so much press its insane. So what's the motive of the established media to be so pro gay? There's always a motive. My guess is population control but I don't have the evidence to back that up.
