Bro. They're so easy now. Discs on all 4 corners. Calipers come off with a couple of bolts. Nothing was worse than doing a brake job on some rear drums... Could never get the shoes adjusted straight, and there are too many dang springs.Anybody do brake jobs? I don't mind working on pretty much anything, but I don't do brakes anymore. Nothing bad happened, I just hate it. Just wondering if I'm alone since we're at the dealership getting a brake job.
I do so much less driving now thanks to new work-from-home policies, I see a lot less brake jobs in my future as well.I haven't done any in years!
I recently switched jobs, I was in maintenance for years, and even worked a side job working on cars, starters and alternator stuff. I think that got to me, always fixing things at work, so I'd come home, and not want to work on anythingI do so much less driving now thanks to new work-from-home policies, I see a lot less brake jobs in my future as well.
It has gotten to where the hardest part is getting the aluminum wheel to break loose from a steel hub. I put anti-seize on them to try and keep the dielectric corrosion from happening, but the tire guys never give the same courtesy.
Have you considered blocks like versa lok? 6" tall, 16" wide. I've really been happy with them for the retaining walls. They ARE a bit expensive per block... but they have a more natural look than other concrete block.I’ve got to figure out what I’m going to do here.
Maybe a small stone wall and 1 step. View attachment 492326

Stone seems so hard to work with, getting them to fit together adequately.
