Things built, torn down and other projects.(Pictures)

Bro. They're so easy now. Discs on all 4 corners. Calipers come off with a couple of bolts. Nothing was worse than doing a brake job on some rear drums... Could never get the shoes adjusted straight, and there are too many dang springs.
Truth

So been remodeling the spare bedroom and found where the guy I paid 20 years ago to replace the 1940 wire in our house didn’t replace it. So I have been trying to figure out the theory they used to wire the house as well as running new wire. Think I have it done I’m down to last fixture. But I can’t tell you how mad I am at $2500 mistake I made 20 years ago because there is old wire every where. He literally did one room and spent a week doing it.

Really like those walls slice. You're clearly far more patient than I am. :) Do you ever have stability issues with them? Love the bamboo curtain. I think the Mrs. will be happy with your solution. LOL

445, I hope you have the drywall off, or an attic space to drop down through the joist between the studs. I can't imagine rewiring like that. I'm an amateur electrician at best!

Some nice work gents.

My first job out of college was job foreman at a asphalt construction company. What I learned was to prevent long term consequences you pay for a Structure Engineer to write a report and follow the plan. All my major walls are done according to that plan. So far no issues
Hopefully that continues 🤞

Good call. Both mine were laid out by my PE Civil Engineer friend here... HOWEVER, he was educated at Pitt, so I'm not as confident. o_O Kidding of course, he's a great engineer.

I used to have a tool kit consisting of a piece of 1 X 2 and a C clamp. I broke down and bought a caliper tool. Hardest part is lifting the dang 18" wheels back up on my truck.

Probably my biggest project to date. It’s not nearly as big as what y’all have tackled but I’m proud. Replaced about 50 worn deck boards on the front deck and also made improvements to deck stairs to make them safer. Went through as cleaned and stained it too.

Definitely the work of a novice, but it feels cool to do this all myself. Plus it saved us a lot of money.

Looks beautiful, and a perfect day to sit outside with a cold one and feel good about your work!
