AbsoLUTELY! We were spoiled by Uncle Sam... the last 11 moves we're professional movers. :)

I decided to do it this time for two reasons. 1. Our closing date was in flux and made it hard to secure a moving company; 2. We needed to go through everything and see what we have. It led to a lot of "hads". :):):)

Well, that certainly makes sense. I hope you keep your brains halfway intact.

Advice from “been there, done that”: when you find yourself packing the sticky pennies and rotten rubber bands in the kitchen drawer, STOP. That is the sign that you’ve officially lost your minds, and it’s time to go sit on the front steps with an AB or four and enjoy life. 🍷

Hubs cheerfully pays others to do this sort of thing, saying it’s a Jewish thing. I’m pretty skeptical of that, but after he did 80% of the packing for our move from Cali and seeing what a wreck it made of him, I’m very happy to go along with the explanation.

Here’s how much we embrace this: three-ish years ago, we moved around the corner, EXACTLY five houses away.

We paid the estimable Two Men and a Truck to both pack and move.

I consider this one of the reasons that we happily celebrated our tenth anniversary last month. 🥂

The amount of clothing that is 20-25 years old and hasn't been worn in a decade is astonishing. She still has some of the tops from her bartending days.

Clothing isn't exactly like wine, it doesn't usually get better with age.

And let's not even begin to talk about shoes..
