Things I'm happy about today

My mom had been messaging me asking about the swim meet, and Tiffany. Said she was going to come down with my aunt soon to see us. I told her to come on, and she said open the door. I told her to let me know what weekend, and I'd have it open. She texted back to open the door, and I looked outside and they were in the driveway! They're gonna get snowed in now🤣

Daughter had 2 basketball games tonight (They are playing in a MLK tourney this weekend and they are condensing from 4 days into 2). They split them. Got another one tomorrow morning and maybe another 1 or 2 in the afternoon.

No Karens, No Technicals, and she only fouled out of 1 game.

I am guessing she has always had to tell you everything twice.

They bring any cousins down?

My daughter and her friends made the "great decision" to leave for Cherokee, NC, tonight, but they all "have" to be back late Sunday for work. Because they already paid for the room through Saturday, I have been assured they will not leave until Sunday come "Hell or High Water." I think if my daughter spent less time on Tik-Tok and a little time looking at the weather forecast, she might make better decisions.

Why is this in the "happy thread"? My wife and I have the grandkids (the first time they've ever spent the night without their mother) for the weekend. We went to Olive Garden earlier and had a nice meal (kids love it), came home, made some popcorn, fixed a "fort/tent" in front of the TV (chairs and blankets over a large air mattress), and watched a movie on the Smurfs (don't remember the name, but the one with Doogie Howser in it). When mom is home, it is a lot of chaos (whining, crying, screaming). They have been total angels tonight. Go figure. HAHA

I will say talk about good timing, Tiffany had ordered my mom a necklace for Christmas. It's like a pendant with my grandmother's picture inside the glass. It was going to be late for Christmas, and it finally arrived today. Tiffany is almost home, so we'll give it to her soon. She's been talking about her mom tonight.
