The bench was put in to sit on or to stand and put your foot on to shave legs. Wife also stores hair care stuff on it.Yep, this is what I want!
Grab bars are key! No one thinks that they're going to have balance problems (inner ear, bad leg, back stuff, etc.), but when they do, it's pretty great to have grab bars in place, bolted into the studs. The bench was put in to sit on or to stand and put your foot on to shave legs. Shower is 3 ft by 5'7". That is plenty of room for us, and not so large that it is a chore to keep clean.
We installed 3 grab bars for safety, and we used a non slick tile in the floor. Still good to have though.
I put three coats of sealer on the floor and two on the walls. That was about 7 years ago. Time to do it again though. I already have the sealer.

I used to build custom homes. Probably 30-50% of the time one of the concerned homeowners would ask me "Is that hole going to stay like that?" Depending on the client i would answer, "What hole?" or "What do you mean?" Then we would have a discussion about an escutcheon plate.OK, ‘Zoners, repeat after me, aloud, listen to yourselves say it, “escutcheon.”
