Things I'm mad about today

Don't forget the flour. I keep an emergency bag in my truck
Well, then, why were you in such a doo-dah the other day. Emergency beer; emergency flour:

edit - well this was the dummest edit ever. No doubt a coinkidink that is was related to TFG.

Well I can't make bread at my desk as much as I would like to.

Reminds me of Peter in office space cleaning a fish at his desk

Add 2.5 for every year past 20. The best thing about being over 20 is, you can drop the paperwork at anytime you desire.
I just want to get to 20. In my line of work I can go the GS route after that making close to if not 6 figures. Do that for 12 years and fully retire at 60 is the ultimate goal

My son is at 16 and comes out of Japan in March. He'll be looking for his last base this fall and has no desire being past 20.

Have you picked up any degrees while in the Army? Your military service will definitely qualify you, but it's ridiculous how crazed they can be for graduate degrees, especially in the VA.

So Randy is young enough to be Mals son?
i joined the Army a full decade after I could have, so it’s highly likely Mal’s son is younger than I.

I joined because I was drowning in student loan debt due to having already earned my undergrad at Milligan College and Masters at Old Dominion. I haven’t really felt the need to go further, but there is seemingly tons and tons of free time with this assignment, so I might go after a second Masters

but, we know all that’s a lie, I joined because the structure and that people would be forced to listen to me since I don’t have any friends. That’s what the guy at volunteer band camp claims anyway
Well you need to beg people to meet you for lunch and offer them a shotgun to make some friends.

I want to say I don’t know what you’re talking about, but the dripping sarcasm prolly wouldn’t come across in written form. Eeek that stuff is cringy

My son did the same. He went in about a year after graduating T.

And before Exie asks, I love the job I chose. It’s what I went to Milligan College for. There’s nothng on the officer side I’d want to do. I never had any interest in being an officer even though through my first two assignments I had multiple commanders and 1SGs pleading with me that I should and it’s obviously way more money. People really would’ve had to listen to me had I gone officer. Now I’m too old to do it so I don’t have to listen to it.

It’s why I hate that Chip Kelly went to tOSU, yet fully understand his reasoning

Edit: there were only three jobs I would even consider when I joined. Non humble brag moment, but I scored a 98 on the ASVAB and crushed all the line scores. I qualified for every job in the military. But I only wanted visual operator/maintainer (aka video techie which I chose and was my number one), photographer, or Public Affairs.

My son got an 82 on the practice. I assume that's decent. He hasn't taken the official yet

That’s an incredible score. He could prolly get closer to if not above 90 on the full test. Anything above 75 guarantees most any job, maybe just some outliers if the way the line scores shake out are funky. But he should be golden with that kind of score. Would also line up him for more sign on bonuses
