There are some old-timers that remember when Bama dominated this series, winning from 1971 to 1981 and many recall the joyous rapture of snapping that streak in 1982. Bama leads the all-time series too and we have played Bama far more times that Florida or Georgia. All good reasons to hate on Bammer and view them as UT's biggest rival all time.

I would hate to lose this rivalry more than any other game we play. It's not really even close in my book.

There are some not that old timers who remember how sweet it was to snap the streak in 1995. I am not among them. That was the first Tennessee/Alabama game I ever watched, and I thought we were supposed to kick their asses like that.

Texas A&M has one of the most inflated senses of its own history and prestige of any program. You would think they're a top 10 program all time listening to them. But they haven't won a NC since 1939, they're 26th in winning percentage and they've finished in the top 25 about as many times as Tennessee has finished in the top 10.

You would think they're a top tier program if you listened to Aggies talk and didn't know any better, but they're really a GA Tech/Colorado/West Virginia type program. They get elevated above those programs in the general perception because it's a Texas school and their fans are loud and have lots of coordinated cheers.

A&M has a fine history. I see no reason to hate on our future SEC brothers. Wait until they join the conference, and then hate on them.

They have a good history, but it's nowhere near where the fans think it is, and this has somehow creeped into the general perception as well.

Almost all fanbases think their program is better than it really is (Vols are definitely no exception), but Texas A&M is by far the worst in this regard.

I live in Texas I know a bunch of Aggies. I haven't met one yet, that I didn't want to beat their a$$, at some point and time.

If we want TV markets in the expansion, then lets go after actual big TV market. I'm all for sending invitations to USC and Rutgers.
