who do u think this dude is targeting? The wealthy soccer mom or lawyer?
Or the uneducated, highly prejudiced types?
I don't the the guy is racist at all, just using it as a political ploy to attract votes.

America is a salad bowl, not a melting pot. I don't get why people get so heated about this. If someone doesn't know how to communicate in social situations with the majority, then that just sucks for them.
People seem proud to be Americans, but unwilling to share it with others who may be a little different. I'm a proud conservative, but it is a little disappointing to see so many people refuse to show patience with others.
My dad is one who gets furious when he sees directions (or anything) written in a place of business in english and spanish. Really?!! How does that affect you?
No it's not. Matsui can speak English, he is just more comfortable speaking his native tongue.
For kids it's easier to learn how to read, write etc in their native language and then gradually learn English.
If you think this chump isn't doing this to pander to the racist loser in Alabama you are not being rational.

This is about administering drivers tests. If you can't speak English... how are you going to be able to drive effectively?Drivers license exams are currently offered in Arabic, Chinese, English, Farsi, French, German, Greek, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Thai and Vietnamese.

One of my best friends is an Iraqi Chaldean and his entire family (minus his grandmother) assimilated. They speak Arabic in their house but out of respect for the US they never do outside of their house.
And, according to this article Tim James: 'This is Alabama. We Speak English' This is about administering drivers tests. If you can't speak English... how are you going to be able to drive effectively?
