It's amazing that people tell me that it's ignorant to visit a place like France and expect that people speak English, but those same people are the ones telling me that wanting illegal immigrants living here to speak English is racist.

No one says they can't keep their language. Just that they should speak it to people who actually know how to speak it, instead of demanding others learn it.

Illegals wanting Americans to speak Spanish is like someone breaking into a person's house and trying to redecorate.

your entire line of posts have been about this being a non-issue, people who pursue it are whiners, racists, bigots, rednecks, etc.

one person's non-issue is another's issue. if you respect that viewpoint then you wouldn't belittle the issue and resort to the worst demonizer - racism.

we all have our hot buttons - I never understood the vehement war protesters but I didn't demonize them. I just recognize their major concerns aren't my major concerns.

French people get annoyed if u don't 'attempt'. I think people should learn the language too, just not the it's englih or gtfo crowd.

The people who are pissed the ATM asks for English or Spanish are the types that are ridiculous to me.

I am actually going to agree with this. He seems to be taking a page out of Wallace's book and taking advantage of the Arizona bill being in the news to get something generated for himself.
