This loss will be 100% on the staff

Yall need to remind yourselves that Dooley was here for 3 years.........

..and never got a signature win the whole time he was here and Butch did that very thing in his first year but because we have looked so bad the last three games, people seem to have forgotten that. The results of the those games doesn't change the result of the USCe game.

Sorry FLVOL_79..I realize this wasn't a "complete the sentence" post but this had been on my mind and I saw the opportunity.

4th and 1 and we run a stupid stretch play instead of running up the gut. Who still thinks Bajankian is the answer?

I think he way too conservative and runs the same crap that never works over and over. Don't get me wrong, I support Butch 100% but the OC and DC is a different story.

This loss is put on the horrible recruiting that has taken place at UT for the past 5 years. When their ball boy outruns your entire special teams on a return for a TD then you have problems. There isn't a whole lot you can ask the coaches or the players to do.

Wrong.
Dooley was a great offensive coach (which he proved by building one of the best offenses in the country in 3 years) but he knew nothing about defense which ultimately cost him his job.
Muschamp is the EXACT opposite of that.

Remember the terribleness of 2010 and 2011?

Folks, most of you are one extreme or the other. Most of us know and understand our situation with turnover and talent. We also understand, expect, and see the schedule we have this year and what the win/loss outcome should be. I, for one, am ok with the simple W/L column. What most of us are upset with is the supporting staff and how we are performing at this point in the L column. We weren't expecting to beat AU, but we are upset and expected more out of the staff to coach/prepare/ and make adjustments before and during the game to make it more competitive. Simple preparation and adjustments would have realistically cut 14-21 pts off AU's final score, no matter what level of talent we have. We now more than ever, expect this seemingly sub-par supporting staff to make the most of these next two weeks and learn from these simple mistakes and finally truly have these kids prepared for whatever Vandy and Ky throws at us and come out with W's and finish strong with a bowl. At this point it's not too much to ask- it should be expected by the fans, the team, and the ENTIRE coaching staff. GBO!

This loss is on the lack of speed on Tennessee's roster. Speed is not a coach able attribute, with that being said we have to win the recruiting battles before we win the on field battles. It's a process that starts with getting athletes that can compete on the field, so before you throw Jones under the bus lets see what he can do on the recruiting side of things.

I like Inky, but he needs to cut the crap. The fans do not need to be lectured to after years of crappy on the field results with another one to add to it this year. The fact there are still a good amount of fans who show up to support said crappy product is a miracle.

No its not. Does Washington State, Arky State, FAU, Miss State, Arkansas have more talent or speed on D than we do? They all played Auburn much better than we did.

Some of you guys live in a land of delusion if you are lying to yourself and laying the blame from yesterday on talent and team speed. While it plays a part, this was largely on the coaches and a lack of giving a damn by the players.

Yes - but back then there were signs of hope for the future. Wilcox had the defense improving (to the point where it was in top 30 before he left), and it felt like with Bray, Hunter, D Rogers, and o-line maturing we could be very good by the time those guys got to be juniors/seniors. Then Wilcox left (probably worried about Dooley's job security after that terrible UK loss), and the wheels came off with Sunseri coming on board (and by the way, the offense largely justified the time we waited for them to mature - they scored enough points in every game last year where we could have won 8-9 games if Sunseri could just keep the opponents from scoring 40+ in every game.
The problem now is that while the recruiting is going great it's impossible to believe Jancek will ever get any defense to play up to its potential (he could not at UGA where he had talent so why should we expect that to happen here - what we have seen so far this year sure does not make it feel likely he is the right guy for that job).

Nick Saban would have lost that game with the team we have...

We didn't have much hope after that ky lost. I have more hope now because we already beat a ranked team. We never did that under Wilcox and Chaney.

At this time (after 3 horrible blowouts in the row) that argument does not hold water any longer. I would prefer to be in every game until the end and lose close (like we did last year with exception of Bama and Vandy), then to get blown out every time but win one close game - and to make things especially painful 2 of those blowouts were against teams we thought we had realistic chance of beating before the season - Mizzou and Auburn). Dooley got criticized heavily for losing to Mizzou in multiple overtimes and this years team gets blown out after scoring only 3 points against them? How is that an improvement?

Lets make a list of why we got blown out today
1. Dooleys fault
2. Kiffins fault
3. Fans fault being critical of your teams play detours top level recruits from coming here because Tennessee is the only fan base in the world critical of its coaching staff.
4. Fulmers fault
5. Fans fault for not supporting a team that continues to quit
6. Freaks fault for taking away women of auburn thread
7. Hamiltons fault

Lol!!!!!!
