this will happen to America

Honestly, I can't comment on climate change because I don't know enough about it. However, if 97% of scientists with enough knowledge in that area believe it to be real, I believe them. I just don't think anyone knows the impact it'll have yet.

This is the part I was referring to. The leap from AGW to any number of the catastrophic effects listed by climate alarmists is what I feel is exaggerated.

Liberals like Ed call it a problem when a guy worth $1 million increases his net wealth to $5 million while doubling his workforce and providing them with good wages and benefits. His solution to that problem is to tax the guy so that his wealth can't increase... because that is "fair"... even though the guys employees and potential employees suffer as much or more.

They also think that it is better for everyone if a guy is taxed 50% on $500K instead of 30% on $1 million.

it would be interesting to see the net worth/income of the people working for these "evil rich" vs the rich themselves. I would bet a business owner making $5mil is providing quite a bit to a lot of people

For the most part, you can trust the data used by those who claim Global Warming. The part you can't trust is when they blame a process that has gone on since the world began on human activity. There is NO imperical way to establish that human activity is or has caused climate change especially in light of the indisputable fact that the climate has always been changing in one direction or another.

You may be surprised at the amount of taxes illegal immigrants pay. There's sales, property, medicare, and social security( which they'll never collect) etc... On top of that, a large portion of illegal immigrants pay income taxes even though they don't have to. Of course, none of this is has to do with my point of whether there should be a legal vs illegal immigrant.

just absolute idiotic propoganda. what do you think the average income of illegal immigrants is? do you think even legal immigrants making that salary are paying enough taxes to pay for their drain on the system? give me a break. all you need is one of their kids in public school and they are a 5 figure yearly drain on the state.

In the same, that guy is expected to pay more and more and more in, but still provide jobs that meet certain expectations.

Its fine if the business is successful as long as that doesn't benefit the owner anymore.

If the man outsources a job to help his bottom line after he gets taxed to death, he's a rich outsourcer who doesn't care about his employees.

That to.

I own a small business, and don't begrudge any man or woman that can take a business and be more successful than me. I personally don't want the headache of a medium to larger size business. But for those that do, they should not be penalized at a higher rate for pulling it off.

I laughed at Ed's REAL problem of income inequality. It's a huge one. Maybe his professor daddy can tell us why it's such an enormous issue.

I said it was partly responsible - please read my responses before responding or just ignore them.

I read what you said. The word partly in no way contradicts what I said. We are not "in the ethanol business" partly because of global warming concerns. Please read my responses more carefully especially before trying to correct them.

Jesus Christ. I explicitly used your examples of the right's concerns.

Sorry, terrorism and islamo-extremism aren't issues the right can claim as its' own

I wasn't claiming the problems of terrorism and islamo-extremism are problems that belong to the right.

I was saying they are problems (faced by us all) that the right has amplified and over-stated. Likewise there are problems (faced by us all) that the left amplifies and over-states (AGW, racism, etc.).

It's not whether the problems are real or not - it is the hyperbolic presentation of problems that both parties engage in that I'm talking about.

How is the amount an illegal immigrant makes relevant? You are continually conflating the issue of spending with immigration.

you are the one who mentioned they pay taxes. the amount of taxes paid isn't relavant to the argument?

Not problems that belong to the right, but problems that are important to the right. Perhaps you're reading the wording differently. I claimed that income inequality etc.. are issues the left is concerned with. That's what the topic started as, what each political side considers important(I stated the left's concerns are real that is an opinion).

This will help your understanding.

Right that was in response to claims that illegals pay no taxes. In fact, I think it was you who made the claim. That doesn't change the fact that the amount of taxes paid by illegals has absolutely nothing to with whether they should be illegal.

:hi:

I was just providing droski with a break down on all the taxes that "illegal" undocumented workers pay in.
