Thoughts on Kentucky

It's not that UK is a bad team it's just they have huge expectations for obvious reasons. That Noel kid has so much pressure on him to fit the mold of Davis.

I actually thing everyone else had huge expectations of us this year. Most uk fans I know readily admitted there would be a letdown this year.

Well my bad, didn't read the whole thread. But yes next years class will be very good and tough to beat.

It's okay. As a Louisville fan, the fact that you can read is more than anyone could ever expect.

Enjoy fully this year of having a better team, next year it's back to the normal drubbing that you can expect. :)

First half of Baylor is frustrating to watch. Wiltjer playing awful. Poor shooting.

Cats are gonna go down today. 55 game home streak broken.

And they deserve it. Poor shooting, worse defense, stupid fouls.

he is terrible period!! I tried telling yall when he goes against other athletic guys he will be terrible

Every Kentucky fan knew that. Defensive liability, but when his stroke is on, he can light it up.

Didn't get to see the UK game today, but maybe this loss at home can wake this team up. I have a feeling come Monday they will be having some long practices.

This team simply has no one leading right now. They need to defend better and simply make their shots. I think we should start playing zone. Players like wjiter, hood, and mays can't guard athletic players.

We'll end up having a good year and probably have 3 guys in the top 10 of draft.

What makes you think we'll lose 3 of 4 of those games? We'll be favored in both the Baylor and Notre Dame games. With Duke's best big injured that gives us a legit shot. Im not saying i want to win that way but thats just how it is. The Duke game will come down to who rebounds best. They have one rebounder now. If Noel, Cauley, and Poythress rebound the way they should we've got it.

Well...

Im going to assume you told UK fans the same thing last year...Titles aren't dreams to us.

You shouldn't assume anything,,,, sometimes it just makes an a$$ out of you. My post was in reference to another poster stating that KY was possibly going to the sweet 16 this year . I don't see that happening this year. Perhappens you should stop living off past accomplishments, take off those blue colored glasses and objectively look at this year's team. Losing to an unrank team at home. That's not the makings of sweet 16 team.

They're not now, but they will be.

MKG is the man.

Nerlens reclassified, so IIRC he's a year younger than everyone.

We'll see. Cal is good, but these boys are not playing team basketball at all...

As an aside, I have an absolute man-crush on MKG for my Bobcats, even though he's a big blue turd :)

The fan base had the same frustrations with the Final Four team. (Brandon Knight)

They lost several games, and turned it around. Cals teams always catch steam after the Christmas break, defensive intensity becomes priority and they have a better understanding of what it takes.

They have the ability for a sweet 16 run, but it is hard to envision I understand.

This team does not have that many weapons, and can literally win or lose on the streakiness of someone like Kyle Wiltjer. Just not a complete team, although there are outstanding individual parts. Poythress should average a double/double.

I think Goodwin is the best player on the team. Noel is good along with Poythress but Goodwin can take his man off the dribble. UT will have trouble keeping him in check. If they do, I like their chances.
