Tim Banks lost us this game

They may have elite talent, but that is not an elite team by any means and I’m surprised you think so. This is the worst Georgia has looked in many years.
I didn’t say they were the Ga of a few years ago. But if they put it all together they can be. Their woes have been on offense. Whether it be us or them to blame they overcame that after the 1st quarter last night. What matters is when you start playing your elite football. We played a team last night that played as well as any in the country right now, and to beat it all they played that way after we hit them in the mouth in the 1st quarter. On paper they prob have the most talent in the country. Whether we like it or not, If beck just plays mediocre football and doesn’t turn the ball over, GA can easily be playing for another Natty.

If we want to win on the road in a hostile environment we have to play CLEAN football. We shoot ourselves in the foot so often when we are on the road. Our defensive line and offensive line could not stop jumping last night. Combine that with some questionable play calling & Nico constantly getting flushed out of the pocket and you have a recipe for disaster. So many GA defenders were able to penetrate our line last night (untouched). To be honest, I was very surprised that Nico was still able to play as well as he did last night. Had we gotten similar pressure on Beck last night we would be talking about a completely outcome. GA's offensive line matches up better against our defensive line schematically (comparing to ole miss last week) and I think that was the difference last night. On top of that they were at home in a prime-time game at nighttime with their backs against the wall.

Nico balled out?? You better go check the stats 167 yards passing and no TD’s is NOT balling out.
Nico played ok, but he didn't cost UT the game. The lack of pressure on the GA QB cost them the game. Bottom line is the whole D played like 💩 as a result.

Screw you whiny Negas. Buncha beeches up in here. BOT being the cancer on the azz of our fanbase as usual. Bout to go 10 and 2 and make the playoffs...nobody with a brain expected more. Period.

Banks has coached us from being crap on defense to being top 10 in the nation...with objective, steady, incremental improvements EVERY season since he has been here. We are lucky to have him. Hope we can keep him, he will be a top candidate for headcoaching gigs all over the country.

The truth in the matter is that Kitselman and a couple passes to Squirrel and Bru for 10 to 15 yards was our entire passing game vs a secondary that Ole Miss abused for 400+ yards a week ago. The WRs couldnt get open downfield or dropped passes...and our Oline ESPECIALLY Heard and Spraggins got absolutely owned. Right guard damn near got Nico killed last night.

There is not a world that exists where Nico played great. He played average. Which is good for a Frosh. But it ain't great

I'm sorry you had to miss the first quarter, but if you get a chance to go back and watch it, please do. You'll see that Nico did a really good job.

He had great moments, good moments, fair moments and poor moments. In the end he and the rest of the team couldn't put enough great moments together in the second half to overcome a terrific game plan by Smart for his team that DESPERATELY needed to win that game at home in front of that amazing crowd.

We lost, and that stinks. But good grief, our freshman quarterback had some stretches where he was impressive. In my opinion, that is.

For one thing, Ga Oline was holding on every play. Hooking and holding. How many holding calls on them? 1 in the first half.
We all knew this would happen as it happens every year against really everyone but especially them and bama. We should have dialed up more blitzes too so to maybe get some guys running free at the qb.

I guess after watching Ole Miss, Banks thought the Dline could get there. (I did) He didn't factor the Holding in, and he had to know uga was NOT going to let their OLine get destroyed again. So, they told em to hold. And Banks did nothing. .Neither did the Refs.

He's been spectacular all season so I'll give him a pass but his inability to adjust to what Georgia was doing opening up those seam routes for Beck is what lost us this game. Our dline played well against the run. But we got picked apart in the pass game on the same play over and over again.

Also Kirby has Huepel's number on offense. Nico, Sampson, and Squirrel balled out. But the coaches didn't help them.

Huepel and the coaching staff are gonna have to own this loss.
We got beat. Geez. 5 to 20 years ago we just expected it. Were going in the right direction.

Ole Miss I feel like has guys tha are better at power rush moves. They were bulldozing UGA’s line. We have guys who are better at speed finesse moves and UGA’s guys held them back both literally and figuratively. If our guys are better at ripping through olinemens’ arms, holding might not affect them as much.

Anyone who thinks Banks lost this game or that he needs to be fired needs mental help. We have one of the best defenses in the nation that had a terrible game. Yet all year our defense has carried us. Yet some on here want the very coach who is responsible for that fired? Beyond dumb.

Funny how the defense is getting most of the blame. Why no blame for the offense? Outside of Sampson, the rest of the offense wasn’t that good. But yeah let’s just place all the blame on the side of the ball that’s the main reason for our great season this year.

It’s not that simple. Ole Miss was at home. UGA was at home where they haven’t lost in 5 years. UGA also knew their season was in the line. Banks had a terrible game. It happens. But this was a team loss.

Without drops he’s over 200 yards as a freshman in Athens with a struggling oline. Ball out may be too strong, but he played well enough to win the game. No mistakes. Several 3rd down passes and runs to extend drives.

Went from giving Tim Banks a blank check to wanting him fired.

Lmao.

Ya’ll amaze me.
Banks and the defense will show out against a hapless UTEP on Saturday. They'll look like the '85 Bears in that one. Fans will do what fans always do. They'll start to believe in Banks and this defense again...until we face the next legit opponent on the road then they'll turtle up again. There's just something missing within our program. UT lacks an attitude/toughness. I think it's why we can't seem to avoid wetting the bed on the road most of the time. I tend to fall back on the claim that a team is a reflection of the head coach. Kinda think that's precisely the case here. We've got a milquetoast coach and we're a milquetoast program.

Defense has looked good all year. We are a national top 10 defense. You are clueless. One bad game and you post BS like this. Let me ask you something. Why are we gonna be 10-2 this year? The offense or defense?
