Tim Banks to MTSU?

Why? What has he done recently that gives anyone reason to believe he can step into our DC role and do a good job? Seriously
Are you kidding me?....He has done amazing things with defenses in his career....I mean he built a defense at Vanderbilt that tortured us....He would a big upgrade over what we got now.

Are you kidding? He didn't have to build a defense at Vandy, James Franklin had Vandy at Top 15 defensively one year and top 25 defensively the next year. Mason took over and it dropped dramatically and they only had 1 season that was respectable defensively under Mason, so I'm not sure how you came up with that he built a defense at Vandy.

Mason went 3-9 with that vaunted Franklin defense the year after he left and several players transfered out of the program...Mason had to rebuild it after that...He wasn't a good head coach but he is a good DC.

I'm all for Banks leaving if we could get Adam fuller from FSU............they had an awesome defense this year. With the ACC getting hosed by the playoff committee he might be ready to move up.
I have it on good authority that Banks isn't going anywhere. My source is @LWSVOL ... probably the only guy on the board that I trust.

Heupel doesn’t like to make staff changes unless he is forced to. At least that’s what Hubbs said. Unless someone on this staff leaves voluntarily, I think the entire staff is back unfortunately and that includes Banks and Martinez.

You’re cherry picking. The defense improved, even with drunk toddlers at LB and DB.
How is that cherry picking? I just replied to the game that were specifically called out as improvements.

Alabama was a better team this year, but not a better offense. Florida was a worst team and a worst offense this year. Texas A&M awful offense got their coach fired and was nowhere as good as LSU last year.

Failed defensive rebuild at Vandy. They only had a decent defense one year.
