the OP has an iq of about 25. that being said, belmont is a solid team year in and year out. i guess ppl forgot that they lost to duke by 1 or 2 a few years ago in the ncaa tourney

Hey OP, I respect you as a fellow Vols fan and a USMNT fan (I love Altidore too) and I'm sure there are users on here who agree with this thread.

Belmont was 9-2... 9-1 if you dont count the fact that TN has already beat them once this year

What's happening with coaching? This isn't like Bruce. What's going to happen in early to mid January with Bruce not on the floor? Will the Vols do better or not? I suppose Bruce will have a long meeting with the team prior to the suspension. Vols better start playing better and with better leadership or they'll get blown out by 2-3 teams in the SEC early.

i agree, we shouldn't have won by 1. i'd say a 10-15 pt win would've been fine. when you're in a slump you just gotta find a way to win. they did, and hopefully pearl will get them back on track

They'll always be solid under Byrd. Agree that our play has been pathetic, but a win is a win at this point. Hopefully we finish OOC strong.

Well i'm glad our fans now consider a 1 point victory at home over a very average Belmont team a success. Hey I guess that means if we lose by 40 to Kentucky and Florida it will be ok because they are "solid" as well. Just one question... How many top 10, McD's AA's does Belmont have?

Dude back off the ledge and stick to soccer. Pearl will get it straight. Pearl is a solid defender and Maymon being inserted into the rotation has thrown off chemistry. Give it time and we will be fine. Belmont is a tourney team and a "W" is a "W"
