If you find it hard to laugh at yourself, I would be happy to do it for you.Look, I’m not disrespecting heupel at all for the job he’s done in the position we were in. But we are too prestigious a program to not be looking to improve when we can. We are in a position now where we can convince a proven head coach to take the job. Heupel has been paid well and been given every resource. And we just got embarrassed so badly that we should be questioning our coach. If I’m Danny White, I start putting out some feelers now. It’s been 2 years since our offense has been worth a ****. Flame away, I just think we could convince a good HC to take this job.
We must start playing better on the road ..... the loss to Arkansas had a lingering impact. Had we won that game, more than likely, we would have been playing at home yesterday. Perhaps, even against Indiana, who we would have easily beaten.Listen we had no idea what playoff football was like. This wasn't some throw away bowl game. The intensity was higher, the focus was sharper and we weren't experienced in that. We aren't experienced in the extra weeks of focused practice ..we learned and we will get better. The sky is not falling.
We go 10 wins twice in three years after the lost decade of the Three Stooges of Coaching and some folks are already ready to jump ship.Yep. Heupel showed you who he was tonight. This was his high point at UT. Good coach, but not good near good enough.
I agree with that. Unless you have the HR hire you know can take you to next level you’re gonna be hard pressed to let a coach go that is getting at least 9 wins a year. Question is will Heupel be able to maintain that moving forward. Just have to be hopeful these deficiencies get addressed. We’ve topped out with current talent and scheme. How much can Heupel adjust will be huge moving forwardLike I keep saying ..... Good damn luck with that next hire, when a 30-9 record over the last 3 seasons at an SEC school isn't good enough. Nobody in their right mind is going to leave a good job for such unrealistic expectations.
It needs a overhaul.. It killed any real chance of them making any noise..The sad part of this is Heupel's best offensive year... was with Pruitt's recruits. Hendon, Hyatt, Tillman, Jaylen, Darnell. Our passing game is light years from what it was 2 years ago. We slow our play down to get the "right" play call to watch half our receiving core run a damn hitch route while Nico is standing flat footed in pocket with no where to go. Passing game is BROKE. Sampson was literally the only bright spot on offense for us this year. I respect Nico's toughness and grit but we have to rethink what we're doing in the passing game.

Sad and pathetic.
Do you listen to yourselves at all?
Yeah we lost, badly. But we lost in a PLAYOFF game. Did you imagine that as even possible watching Cornbread go 3 and 7?
Yeah we need upgrades. The OL was a barely cobbled together mess part of the year and we have no receivers who can separate like Hyatt. Defensive backs have much better talent but lousy technique.
Heup hates losing more than any of us do.
Don’t panic when we are on schedule.
I’m said guy on internet, however, I don’t live in mom’s basement fortunately. I’m no SEC coach and will never claim to be one… but it doesn’t take one to watch last nights game and say whatever gameplan we had on each side of the ball last night was complete trash. Schematically we looked broken and completely incapable of executing or making correct call. All I hear is Saban talking on College Gameday about ignoring the guy on the internet posting from his mother's basement...
Like I keep saying ..... Good damn luck with that next hire, when a 30-9 record over the last 3 seasons at an SEC school isn't good enough. Nobody in their right mind is going to leave a good job for such unrealistic expectations.
And we made it with a red shirt freshman. Every one of those are seniors, and several are 5th year guys. The Oregon guy was with Heupel at UCFBut, Ohio St's QB from the portal, Oregon's QB from the portal, ND QB from the portal, Indiana's QB from the portal, Texas's QB is a transfer, I'm assuming you get my point now, but no you don't have to live in the portal.
We just made the playoffs, the first time since it's inception, beat Florida and Bama 2 out of 3 years, and you want to fire the coach. It very may well be an overreaction. My concern is we wait too long and the program becomes undesirable. I just feel we are in the position now to attract a home run guy.
If Danny White thinks Heupel isnt the guy to get this program to a National title then you have to move on at some point. I dont think we are near that point yet, but last night had to give Danny White a lot of doubt.
You cant be scared to make a change (again, not now) because the last guys flubbed it up.
DW is not going fire Heupel anytime soon.
Stop being ridiculous.
