He would be the leader of the offensive line next season. Sorta like Dallas Thomas was when everyone else were freshmen on the offensive line.

but 2014??? Ppl could take that so many diff ways. Sometimes it is what it isn't

Could I see him going early? Yes.

However, he seems to be very invested in UT.

Also, he is currently valued at the #4 OT behind Matthews, Lewan and Kouandjio. Over the last 4 years, 4/4/6/2/5 OTs have been taken in the 1st Round. If he leaves, he stands a good chance to be a 1st Rounder. Historically, the 4th OT off the board is usually mid-20s.

There is a big big big difference between mid-20s 1st Round money and low-1st. While Pugh was the 5th OT taken, he was taken at 19 so his $8,345,898/4year contract $4,449,744 signing bonus is pretty indicative of the high end of what Tiny could be looking at.

If Tiny comes back, he could compete be the 1st or 2nd OT taken and Luke Joeckel signed a $21,201,598/4year deal and a signing bonus of $13,799,344.

That's a lot of money for staying 1 year.

^^This

Also, his draft stock is almost guaranteed to improve next year. If you look at Butch's record, his teams are substantially improved in year 2.

personally I think he needs to stay... his draft stock was high beginning of year... it has dropped as his play has not been as good as it has been in past again in my opinion

No he won't. The advice that CBJ will give him will be what's best for UT Football and for himself. That's why he's getting pd $3 mil+ for, and that's what we as fans should expect him to do.

Yes I know it's harsh and I want the best for Tiny, but to think that CBJ isn't going to be somewhat bias in whatever advice he gives him is naive. At the end of the day Dooley would be the guy he should, but most likely cant, reach out to (if they had a good relationship).

Every time I read one of your posts I'm absolutely certain you've, at some point, left a boiling dead rabbit in Derek Dooley's kitchen.

CBJ will selfishly, purposefully give Tiny bad information about going pro? But Dooley, the now disgraced former UT football coach and WR coach at Dallas, he's the guy Tiny needs to talk to. Given how Dooley walked out on the team and wouldn't coach the final game last year, what makes you think Dools would even take Tiny's call?

Un. Be. Lieve. Uh. Bull.

I would love to see the guy come back, but I just dont see it happening. The money difference arguement is a moot point imo. Who could turn down 5+million to come back to play college ball....except The Man himself, Peyton. But I would imagine, only imagine, that their situation, family/money wise, is quite different.

So is there some kind of special alert ur loser azz gets whenever I post?? Geez man u have a pretty freaking pathetic life.

Dooley recruited the kid and probably knows him better than CBJ so it's not to hard to imagine that he could give him some solid advice if they had a good relationship.

At the end of the day like it or not dooley is apart of UT history so f-off douche bag.

If he asked any former coach it would probably be his previous OL coach. I can't imagine anyone remaining on the team sees Dooley as competent and in any position to offer what he'd call "advice"

Sorry bro. I normally intentionally avoid responding to Oskie's ridiculously mind numbing Dooley manlove posts cause there's just no point. But this one? My head was gonna combust if I didn't say something.

Please forgive my indiscretion there Butch. Didn't mean to muscle in on your racket. Appreciate you taking one for the Board and absorbing the 8th grade personal insults at the hands of good ol' Oskie.

Lets say he and aj stay what does this do to the scholy number? Wasn't the 31 number based on them leaving?
The numbers always work themselves out. Both Posey and Dallas are apparently leaving. One more would have to leave in order for us to take 30, 3 if both Tiny and AJ stayed.

Just FYI, John Brice of Volquest stated yesterday that UT can and will likely sign up to 32 recruits this year. He didn't qualify those numbers with what Tiny, AJ, Posey or Dallas will be doing.

Anyone know the guys economic background??? Just saying that: if he's from a struggling family he might need to go ahead despite him "wanting" to stay"....If he's from a socio/economic background that is doing OK, he may be more apt to stay and hold off on the pay day for another year..........Not that I care, nor is it my business......just saying that IF his family is living pay check to pay check, may have incentive to go.....Wish him the best either way!!

This is actually a good point. A pledge brother of mine grew up with him in Mt. Pleasant before he transferred to Ensworth. From what he said, they're not exactly swimming in cash.

I hope he stays but I understand the call of money, the NFL and we don't know if his family may be in a need situation

I can't envision a scenario where he returns. Hope I'm wrong.

Tiny gave up critical sacks against Florida and Georgia.

His stock should be way down at this point. He looks the part but his performance this year not up to par.

Still one of the top blindside OTs in college football. Hasn't been dominant so far but still very good. Lets see what he does this week vs Clowney and next week vs Bama. I think he still gets drafted very high based on measurables/potential. Doubt his stock has dipped much at all.
