You mean a guy that looks like he has tons of potential that they could bring in and develop and have for multiple years? Yeah, that does seem odd.

And Jameson Williams was a non factor there bc they were so loaded. Sometimes a kid just needs the right situation. Cant believe some of these ppl on here cant understand that.

Seems fair to question... but maybe he’s just the best option in the portal? I have no idea who’s actually in the portal tho or if that info is even available to the public

He's very talented in addition to all the other stuff you mentioned.

OSU has been putting drafted DBs in the NFL for what seems like every draft. They're always very strong there. He was only a True Freshman, and perhaps his heart jusy wasn't there.

I like our DBs once they're all healthy, but this kid would be a starter imo.

We shall see I guess. I would have thought we would need immediate help with someone who has actual experience. Not just the promise of potential. If he commits I hope he is what you think he is.

he's a redshirt freshman so i say he's most likely his ranking and college ready

It’s essentially like getting a recruit with one year of strength and conditioning and practice reps on the collegiate level already.

We need bodies at safety so we can let Charles play CB full time without having to worry about sliding him over at the first injury. So whether he ends up starting or being second string, adding him to our team helps our defensive backfield out a ton.

I think it is just the policy of this staff to get guys who can help us over more than just one year. I think they also think he is likely able to help this year but also will be here for a couple more years after. I think it is the right approach.
