'20 TN ATH Reggie Grimes (Oklahoma commit)

I live close to Ravenwood too. I agree with you. I'm afraid Reggie is having a hard time finding a place to land. I wish him the best. Maybe Kiffin will come calling. Shouse, teammate, signed with OM. Someone said in an earlier post that Reggie was the big guy standing next to the pile. I hate to say, but that is true. Maybe a gear will kick in during college or he may just decide he does want to play football.
Agree. This is a splash 1st year/late signing that would give CLK the attention he covets.

jakez4ut said no one knows?????
I think no one is certain how good the kids is.

And that's reflected in how weird his recruitment had been... Can't remember the last time a guy rated this high had so much indecision about his skill set.

I need some clarification. On 247 it shows him with 6 offical visits and now he is out of options. I am curious do we offer him a flier if we end up without DW? I could see him as a TE/DE and we figure it out. Do you think this is a case I'd reality? I saw Percy Harvin in HS and he was a POS and a lazy guy but he was electric and a POS on UF.

The only reason we are talking fliers and what not on these kids, 10 years of mediocre recruiting and sub par seasons leave us with a feeling of mediocrity!

Most projects don’t pan out. Give me the dude with slightly less measurables who is flying around the field with his hair on fire making actual football plays.

If Pruitt really wanted this kid he would have been made a priority in the last week no matter what his commitment status was. It appears that Pruitt and Co. did not even reach out to him. Why is that? It's because our coaches are continuing to evaluate kids during the season. The kid is a workout warrior which caught their eye but obviously did not pass their game evaluation. If you watch the kid he is clearly disengaged during games and shys away from contact. And this is just my personal opinion based off watching 5 of his games, he does not project well to any position. He doesn't have the wiggle or burst to play RB, he doesn't have the burst or moves to play DE or OLB he doesn't have the motor to play either position. He doesn't have the hands or ball skills to play TE and is too large to play in the defensive secondary. This is why I threw out the the thought that maybe the best projection is to put weight on his frame and try him at OT? He is obviously athletic that would help with the lateral movement and footwork of the position you would just have to somehow put the dog into him to run block.
Nothing would help us more than an uninterested OL. We used to call those Drew Richmonds.

Highly agree. I was just thinking what the kid might project as to a coaching staff because based off seeing him play I have a hard time projecting a position that he could be successful in at the next level.

I’m not sure you can use Richmond as an example, USC’s line was really bad this year too, I doubt they had anyone better than him as a 5th starter.
