Who are your favorite graphic artist (besides yourself? I follow other teams creative design accounts just for those.

Lots of talented people out there. I like Chris charizopoulos (nba, former OSU), Evan Ford (UT), Sammy Silverman (OSU), Tony huynh (Orlando magic), josh heim (Oregon), DKNG studios (concert posters), chelique Ross (nba), to name a few. I pretty much only have a Twitter account to follow sports creatives and teams with good creative in their feeds.

You can't say it's fact simply because of third-party perspective.

I personally think he was out of shape and not giving 100% every play.

I also believe viewing 20 minutes of game play has 0% chance of effecting the odds of where he - or anyone - will be drafted in 4-5 years or if he'll be successful in college.

Third party perspective? I saw him in person at 330 lbs and compared it to film of him at 300 lbs. It is night and day difference. He's overweight and out of shape. That's a first person observation.

Leave out my criticism of his game play that I saw. I've conceded repeatedly that one bad game can happen to anyone.

Do you think no reasonably sound assumptions about one's dedication can be made by whether or not they show up in shape? If you showed up to your first day of work late, would your boss be reasonable to assume your dedication is lacking and that, at that point, your chances of panning out as an employee had decreased?

I don’t even understand where this narrative of him being out of shape and lacking hustle came from? I was on the field with him the first game and he was one of the very few players that didn’t go down with a cramp, he was making plays downfield, and even saved his best plays for late in the game to help seal the win. All of that was after being cut blocked and double teamed all night.

But have you seen him play in person though?

Could he be adjusting to the competition level he is seeing at Powell? The competition level that St. Benedict plays leaves a lot to be desired.

He spent multiple TV timeouts laying on the field at Maryville. He is not in shape by any stretch of one's imagination.

Lol sure but maybe that person becomes your best employee.

Everyone has room to grow and get better. 😂

OK I appreciate this response.

I was excited to see him play. That's the reason I went to the game. I know the meme is that I'm uncle Rico pining for my youthful days of high school glory. But really, I only go when my nephew wants to go or when a big name comes to town. I was ready to be wowed by him. I wasn't. I've stepped back from my opinion that one bad game means he sucks. I don't think he sucks at all. I was just not amazed. That's fine.

So if I understand you, you're saying not all 5* recruits are created equal. I can agree with that. Your thoughts are that he is beyond the typical threshold of 5* recruits enough so that the odds don't really apply to him strictly? I can see that argument. I don't necessarily agree, but I see where you're coming from. Thanks for a thoughtful response.
Thank you as well. My point is that based upon many factors we do not know, his chance would likely not change after one game. Here are some of the factors that I think could impact whether or not he makes the league. His choice of transferring to Powell. Where he plays college football. Who coaches him at the collegiate level. Can he stay healthy. If he does not get in shape or has a tendency to let himself go in the off-season, I would think he is more likely to get injured. Obviously, if he is lazy, and I don't think he is, then he is very unlikely to make it. Therr are probably plenty of others. I do get that you were disappointed and I understand why you would be. We all want him to come here and destroy RB and QB and help us get more wins. I think he still has plenty of time to help us do that.

Solid points. Your point about high-school choice: I really wonder if Powell was the right place for him. Just seems like such an odd fit. What kind of coaching do you think he'll get there?
