I agree with you , he’s probably an Aggie,I sincerely doubt his folks wouldve foot the bill to that place, twice, just for her to pull rank.
I think he's an Aggie in the end. Seen this movie waay too many times. anyway, still really like this staff. this staff will be here in two years when walter transfers
Nothing strange about it, really...ill explain. I call out bullsh!t posts whenever I read them, and the fools that post them. You know, those posts where someone just spouts garbage they have absolutely no idea what their talking about...posts like yours, where you outright said, Walter Nolen "is not a team guy", and he "doesn't want to build he wants to join". Now, I know you like context, so...You earned those terms. Wear them proudly I guess.......I never said anything disparaging about the kid, your hard on here is beyond a little strange.
I will say this about Nolen, I don't think he's a team guy. I still like him as a player, and honestly we need him, but he might not be a good fit for what we're building.
If we don't land him I'm not sure there's any way you could spin this recruiting class as anything but very sub-par. It would be further fodder for those who say Huepel can't recruit and make it even easier to negatively recruit against us. We need him for optics if nothing else.
Not saying there are character issues with the guy. Just saying the way this is shaping up the guy wants to play with a winner. We aren't, nor are we going to be for a few years. He doesn't want to build he wants to join. Not saying there is anything wrong with it as his choice, just what it is.
And no other coaches have ever had DL to go on to NFL?I wonder about Nolen being a personality fit for that aTm culture. There is only one thing on Nolan’s mind and that is the NFL. NFL requires development for his talent and Rodney Garner is the best tool to obtain that goal. Why would you risk playing for any other DL coach?
Ta&m has the single weirdest fan base/traditions I’ve ever seen. It was an all male military college when it started and they have shaken a lot of the bizarre traditions. It’s hard to imagine Nolan leaving home for that place instead of going right down the road (close to his family) and playing for the best dline coach in the country to go play in the weirdest environment in all of college football. I’ll believe he’s Tennessee until he’s not.

I’ve actually heard from people that have been as an opposing fan that it’s pretty awesome. I think I heard it from multiple Clemson fans when they played there a few years ago. Maybe this clip was a bad example
What do you mean, “weird little white dudes?”Bro did you watch this video? My god…how could anyone say it’s cool. That’s like chucky meets Charles Manson. I’ve seen 4 or 5 clips of these over the years and they’re all the same. Weird little white dudes with crew cuts wearing overalls and the guys in the back ground make weird high pitched sounds while making cheerleader movements. Are you trolling or something? You’re the first person I’ve ever heard (not affiliated with Texas A&M) suggest it’s not creepy and bizarre.

I was just responding to someone saying why not play for RG. There are probably a few reasons booster wise and as you helped me make my point, you can make the NFL from anywhere and they have a recent history of putting guys in as wellBut the coaches who coached them are no longer there....
You can make the NFL from anywhere. And Garner is a highly regarded DL coach.
