Pruitt/his staff was the one that started recruiting Nolen and pretty certain money was involved. It was rumored we were in a good spot for him early on. Heupel and staff attempted to continue to recruit him but again rumor that Garner wasn’t as high on him for one reason or another. Not sure if it was attitude or what.Nolen was from the class of 2022. I don't think he was involved in the Pruitt scandal. He was offered by Heupel and Nolen has said that he was made a good NIL offer.
I doubt we pursued him this time around. I don't think that recruitment ended amicably 2 years ago.
I think you’re giving him too much credit.Eh, that only affects people who live their life on social media, doesn’t matter much in the grand scheme. One of those coaches is a child and the other is an adult…
On another note, I’ll never understand how any so called VFL would want him back here after he sparked the fire that sent our program into the abyss for almost a decade and a half.
lets be fair, most reliable media outlets do not post regular "reasons this guy is not a cancer to the locker room" stories for someone to reference as to why a guy is not bad news. the only thing Nolen can be accused of is gaming a system to make more money. i still dont see the problem with that. i mean, i am sure if you make $12 an hour flipping burgers at Burger King and the boss tells you they think they will give you a raise to $15 because you are better at your job than when you got there, you are not going to say "i'll take $10 and feel good knowing i am doing it for the pride of BK"Prove that he isn't.
Chain of events. He left at about the worst time, which limited our ability to hire a quality coach and created an unstable situation with 3 coaches in 3 years... I can’t think of many things that would ever make me turn in my Vol card, but his rehiring would be one of them.I think you’re giving him too much credit.
You pledge fealty to the Kingdom of Burger, or the consequences will be dire.lets be fair, most reliable media outlets do not post regular "reasons this guy is not a cancer to the locker room" stories for someone to reference as to why a guy is not bad news. the only thing Nolen can be accused of is gaming a system to make more money. i still dont see the problem with that. i mean, i am sure if you make $12 an hour flipping burgers at Burger King and the boss tells you they think they will give you a raise to $15 because you are better at your job than when you got there, you are not going to say "i'll take $10 and feel good knowing i am doing it for the pride of BK"
