Oregon or Ole Miss is what everyone is saying.Do we have any KNOWN dialog with a staff member since he put his name in the hat? Any probable staff sanctioned player/recruit contact with him in that time frame? Alive and mobile does not make him a target for UT. If he is not on our active radar he cannot be a staff/collective hit or miss statistic. Even Politely playing the game does not mean a real relationship exists. Personally I would prefer a different solution at the DT spot, HS or portal since whether he is a cancer or not, he does not seem like a fit for our locker room.
Like every other player I don't see or don't want to see on our roster I wish him a healthy and unproductive career wherever he ends up and would prefer to not have to dig through his dealings on a UT site once a lack of current dialog with them is established.Oregon or Ole Miss is what everyone is saying.
What if Rodney Garner really wants him?Like every other player I don't see or don't want to see on our roster I wish him a healthy and unproductive career wherever he ends up and would prefer to not have to dig through his dealings on a UT site once a lack of current dialog with them is established.

(If true) Nolen and Kiffin deserve each other

I hope the 2024 Rebels season will be the biggest train wreck ever. ️
So Texas a&m did it on the prep ranks... We know how that turned out.say what you want about kiffin, but he sees his team is close and needed a few pieces to get over the hump, then went out and swung at the players most would say are the right pieces and did what it took to get them. i guess next year we can see if his approach of trying to bring in the best talent in the portal gets him to the playoffs or if the Tennessee way of saving money and hoping this idea of not jeopardizing the team chemistry gets you from 8-4 to 11-1 and the playoffs
Why does Ole Miss have a shelf life? If the expanded playoff had been around the past few years, they would have made it this year as well as in 2021. Ole Miss isn’t a place where you’re going to compete for titles year in and year out, but honestly there’s probably only about 10-12 of those programs in the country. Getting paid $9 million a year at a place where just making the playoff is considered a great season is a pretty good gig.So Texas a&m did it on the prep ranks... We know how that turned out.
Kiffin is doing the same with the portal...I guess begging for money finallyworked... I'm not convinced it nets the result.
That said ..I think the following two things are in play...
1. Ole misses schedule is not overly difficult so anything less than the playoffs is a failure.
2. Kiffin isn't a dummy.. There's a shelf life in Oxford.. And next year is it. He'll be somewhere else in 25 no matter what.
I agree that Kiffin won the portal this year but how is Tennessee saving money? I read that we offered the number one OL recruit a 7 figure deal but he still chose Colorado. That same collective paid our current QB in waiting $8 million over 4 years to sign here and made national news about throwing huge money at a recruit. We landed the top WR in the portal last year and another highly rated one this year in addition to a starting safety. Where is the "saving money" coming from?say what you want about kiffin, but he sees his team is close and needed a few pieces to get over the hump, then went out and swung at the players most would say are the right pieces and did what it took to get them. i guess next year we can see if his approach of trying to bring in the best talent in the portal gets him to the playoffs or if the Tennessee way of saving money and hoping this idea of not jeopardizing the team chemistry gets you from 8-4 to 11-1 and the playoffs
