This.i think the move gets too much play as something that matters to where he may wind up...but...if you read his last interview on SI.com, i think it's safe to say TN has moved in to the discussion a lot more seriously than any of us thought we were a few months ago. and proximity can't hurt..we are not the favorite imo, so being that close can help close the gap.
but from what i've read and listened to, it just seems CJH and CRG have done a good job here of making TN a factor.
how optimistic should we be? dunno. i still think with the options he's got available, it's gonna be tough for us to overcome everything those programs have to sell....
i think we have one big ace and that's CRG and his track record for sending DL to the NFL. he can do that here too....
in general i think fans should be optimistic that this staff can get a kid like Nolen to listen...and keep the door open....it'd be easy for this kid to slam the door and he'd have plenty of justification for doing so. that he hasn't yet, i think that's a good sign for this staff, regardless of where he winds up.
Their offense isn’t going to change. Kirby is as stubborn about his scheme as Pruitt, Muschamp are. Saban assistants are scared to have better offenses than their defense. Cant win big in modern CFB without going full up tempo/air raid. Eventually these kids are gonna realize the BS and stop going there. It’s already happened with a few 2022 kids.UGA won't win the SEC anytime soon? I'd imagine they have as good a chance as anyone not named Bama, especially if their new spread(ish) offense pays off. If Saban retires the next 5 years...they'll be the favorite, with OU. They were a play away in 2016 from winning it all...it's not that far fetched. But I'm not betting on Kirby going all the way, either. But they have some outside shot in the next 5-10 years. Too much talent not to.
Do agree there. Saban himself made the move but his robotic demon seeds don't seem to have the cajones.Their offense isn’t going to change. yeah, and I've said it hundred time when it comes to "insiders"...you really get out of their posts, what you put in to them. i think for the most part, they don't "know" anything. I think there are a few that are pretty well plugged in and have a whole lot more insight to what may or may not happen inside the program, but to say anyone knows what will happen, especially in recruiting, is a stretch. so if someone is butthurt about insider information, chances are that's a "you" problem, not so much the insider's problem.This.
And having Tennessee mentioned by one of the top recruits at a time like this is very helpful for future recruiting even if he ends up somewhere else. People forget that when their feelings get involved (Nobody better not mention he may come here if you don't have proof!!!!...those people).
Allz I know is that if he had gone the rumored IMG route and had Futurecasts flip for Florida, the same bastions of clear thinking would’ve declared him a lock for the Gators.yeah, and I've said it hundred time when it comes to "insiders"...you really get out of their posts, what you put in to them. i think for the most part, they don't "know" anything. grade of slaw, long story short.![]()
It's really no different than AP talking about Harrison Bailey.AP bringing reality home on cast. Better chance for him being in ET, but, reading tea leaves, we likely dont lead. Could mean nothing, also it is AP.
he's a self proclaimed extrovert. He just befriends/has bias too much is all. His Pruitt nuthugging was downright embarrassing.
I think the only thing we don’t have is the wins. Otherwise, we seem to have every advantage.i think the move gets too much play as something that matters to where he may wind up...but...if you read his last interview on SI.com, i think it's safe to say TN has moved in to the discussion a lot more seriously than any of us thought we were a few months ago. and proximity can't hurt..we are not the favorite imo, so being that close can help close the gap.
