Admittedly I have barely followed the last 100 pages of this thread. I would imagine our ruffled feathers has as much to do with the fact that this should be a layup commitment because of all the UT tie-in's around Dyersburg than just potentially losing a player that can help the program.
I saw someone post on TOS that Pruitt probably thought TN kids were just like AL kids in that they dream of the offer no matter when they get it. The kids in this state almost act offended if they are slow played. It doesn't seem to be the case with AL kids with the state of Alabama.
For every Daniel Brooks and Chris Donald there is a Patrick Willis. For every Patrick Willis there is a Daniel Brooks or Chris Donald. You never know what you're getting.
Lack of recent success also plays a factor with regard to TN kids signing elsewhere. AL has alot more ammo to work with than we do. For now anyway.
