We could lose every 4 and 5 star recruit that we have committed in a class and some of the pumpers on here would be talking about how the staff is cleaning house of all the divas to make room for underrated, high integrity, and harder working 2 and 3 stars......and attach anyone that said different.

That is a good question. I had my doubts about authenticity when I read the post. It seemed unlikely that a recruit would post such statements, and of course electronic media abounds with phony reports and false gossip. But I think Russell would have issued a disclaimer if he were not author of the post. Wouldn't he correct the record immediately if someone publicly misquoted him like that?

Addendum: I don't know what the coaches did or did not say in their dinner conversation, but it would have to be something unbelievably bad to warrant the public statement attributed to Russell. I mean bad, bad, and I doubt that. So my thinking is that Russell over reacted to gossip and exaggerated it. Even if something unflattering were said, giving it so much public attention was the worst thing he could have done.

Admittedly I have barely followed the last 100 pages of this thread. I would imagine our ruffled feathers has as much to do with the fact that this should be a layup commitment because of all the UT tie-in's around Dyersburg than just potentially losing a player that can help the program.

I saw someone post on TOS that Pruitt probably thought TN kids were just like AL kids in that they dream of the offer no matter when they get it. The kids in this state almost act offended if they are slow played. It doesn't seem to be the case with AL kids with the state of Alabama.

For every Daniel Brooks and Chris Donald there is a Patrick Willis. For every Patrick Willis there is a Daniel Brooks or Chris Donald. You never know what you're getting.

Mods say so. Best source we have. Besides, it'd probably be news if he's paying his own way. Lastly, it would be tough to pull top transfers if our pitch is "come pay your own way for awhile" versus full athletic schollies. That's not how you pull big transfers.

Yo guys, stopped by the sewer project earlier to scope out that massive fatberg they got cloggin up their system. After talkin to the locals for a few hours about whether they like 1-ply, 2-ply, or use wipes, they finally got to spilling the goods.

The word around town is absolutely buzzing with what occurred just 48-96 hours ago. The buzz is that Chris was told to not come. Apparently he heard in the background an assistant coach yell "no room, we got foe figh stahs comin!"

I just want for VolNation to boom early. Sounds like we got Pickens, Toots, Wright, and a surprise flip! Enjoy fellas.

This thread is so ADD and hilarious.
1. If Russell read any of this, I could see why he wouldn't want to play for a fan base where the majority didn't and do not want him. (according to the comments)
2. From what I've read the restaurant rumors all began on this thread, several pages back, with references to ageelaw and lupovol providing Intel. Makes you wonder if the photo was photoshopped to add to the fire.
3. Canceling a visit because a sibling was hospitalized and parents couldn't attend doesn't make you unappreciative. It shows family is important to the kid and he wanted them there with such a huge decision before him.
4. Not wanting schools to use his brother as bait and calling them on it is different than trying make a deal.
5. Auburn stockpiles players like AL so why go there when you can shine elsewhere.
6. TN has a good recruiting class for 2019, so we should be proud of what Pruitt has accomplished and anticipate a better year.
