Always have to be thinking about injuries. Nothing major, but ankle sprains can and will happen. So, our back-ups will need to be ready for their shot. No, he’s not chopped liver. I personally think Merk ends up being Nico’s successor. But if you’re GMac, you’re looking at it as 2026 being your first chance to really compete for the job with no incumbent. And he’ll enter that competition with a year of college under his belt.
Apparently not even the priority QB for this staff in 2026. Faizon Brandon is the preferred choice according to Matt Ray.Go ahead and brace yourselves for him going somewhere other than UT.
Heupel and company will get George MacIntyre and some will be mad that they don't get this QB in the next class.
#1 players getting that distinction this early is very likely to change. Korey Foreman was the #1 player for a little while until Quinn Ewers overtook him. Nico was the #1 player for awhile. There are other examples. This is 2 years out. Dylan Raiola was the #1 player for awhile. It happens. But please continue to think it’s silly.Based on what? I know it’s early but the number 1 player doesn’t change a lot of the time. Fine for you to doubt he remains the #1 player but for you to “highly” doubt it is silly…unless you’re Greg Cosell/Mel Kiper?
