They are calling his COVID year a redshirt year. But it isn’t.
His career:
2020: COVID
2021: 11 games
2022: 12 games
2023: 5 games
2024: 7 games so far
So he clearly hasn’t redshirted. He’s out of eligibility unless he can get that 2023 year back for injury.
That’s great news.

Bishop has been good. YPC is right there with Sampson. Beyond that it's unproven but Seldon or Lewis should be ready to go next year. It's not like this kid is ready to walk in and pass protect most likely.I have not seen one of our backup rb’s show sec talent yet. Who is going to replace Sampson. Bishop? Sheldon is always hurt, who knows how good he is. Am I missing some great back being red shirted?
I’m not going to count out a guy like Bishop, just yet. Especially not a local kid and definitely not at that position.I’m not so sure Heupel wants THE guy, I think he wants more of THE guyS.
Agreed. We don’t necessarily need and shouldn’t expect to have a D-Samp-esque phenom at rb 1 every year. We need either a guy like that or a rotation of above average SEC guys. This offense was very productive in 2021 with Jabari Small starting. He was a warrior, but he was no Achilles.I’m not so sure Heupel wants THE guy, I think he wants more of THE guyS.
And he’s legit talented.I’m not going to count out a guy like Bishop, just yet. Especially not a local kid and definitely not at that position.
Sometimes we forget about the traits you can’t measure, desire, heart and want to.
Worst case, he’s going to a hell of a complimentary back.
Yeah that’s safe to assume. That staff wants him and we need to improve our pipeline to Oakland HS.no smart arse, why are we clamoring or getting excited about a 3* who may or may not have reached out to us when we have Seldon, Bishop, Lewis, Keith,etc...?
Is this one of those players who is much better than his ranking?

No it shouldn’t. The ideal would be for Sanders to RS. If we are relying on a true FR to be a significant factor in the OL in year 5, then we have major issues on the OL. It’s rare for true FR OL to walk in and start because of talent and not necessity.Landing a high rank like Sanders should have expectations of a day 1 starter, a la Trey Smith
When you need them to start. We needed Trey to start, and needed Wanya and Darnell to start. Sanders now will have the time that a freshman should to come in and learn the ropes behind Heard. Depth is a good thing. He’s not going to leave because he can’t start day one.Landing a high rank like Sanders should have expectations of a day 1 starter, a la Trey Smith
I agree he’s been great, the YPC is a bit skewed considering he had runs of 57 and 53 yards against Kent state (would be 5 YPC instead of 6.9). I do like his ability to fall forward and run aggressivelyBishop has been good. YPC is right there with Sampson. Beyond that it's unproven but Seldon or Lewis should be ready to go next year.
