'24 TN WR Amari Jefferson (Tennessee)

that is stacked
I was looking at that earlier ! How can all of those WRs be fine with not getting playing time? I imagine WRs are flashy and desire the attention. A couple of years of no headlines might dim the attraction there. Who knows though, we may be like that in a couple of years with more high caliber WRs than we can use. Not a bad problem.

I’m not against taking very good WRs but I am assuming in 2024 we have Squirrel, Thornton, Webb, Nimrod, Leacock, Staley and Mathews. So adding one of our two remains WR targets and leaving room for a good portal WR would be great. We may lose one of Nimrod, Leacock or Webb if they don’t play.

Thornton is not a guarantee to be here, depending on how the season goes. Leacock isn't going anywhere. Webb and/or Nimrod will be battling for a starting position next spring, so it's possible that one of those guys hits the portal. That's still not a lot of depth in the room, and if you have 4 kids that you love this cycle that can greatly upgrade the position, you take them all (if you can). The portal is a toss up, and the coaches are trying to catch lightning in a bottle right now.

Chas is versatile and can lineup all over. Needs to add some more weight but he can find his way to the field for sure in the future. Webb is that X type of receiver. He obviously won't play too much being behind Bru/Keyton but he needs a good year with Leacock already flashing

I know that no one has seen him yet (and he'll need time to develop), but it's crazy how people act like Nate Spillman doesn't even exist on the roster. Not referring to you, but when discussing depth on here he's never mentioned.

You still have to add in injuries, and we need to be able to rotate guys in and out. At any one time you can have 5 wide receivers on the field.

Really the way it needs to be is something like this.

Offensive linemen atleast 15 players
Defensive linemen atleast 10 players
Wide receivers atleast 10
Running back 5
Defensive backs atleast 10
Qb 3
Linebackers atleast 10
Kicker 1
Punter 1
That puts you at 65 scholarships. That leaves 20 more to play with.
Rosters may not always look like that but that's kinda where it needs to be.

Edit forgot tight end. Really need 3-5 there.

TE 3-5
DL- 14-16
LB- 8-10
