yep if these guys see a spark they have buckets of cold water at the waiting.

I think a fan can be both excited for the commit but wary enough to know that a lot change in two years. I don't understand why some people think the two must be mutually exclusive.

That being said, CBJ has done pretty well with in-state kids that commit at least a year early.

If you don't think its black or white on here you gotta go.

I just read some of his Twitter feed. Some of these grown men tweeting at him are embarrassing. Get a freaking life stalkers

Yeah, it bothers me as well. On about half of his tweets you can find a comment from some anonymous Vol Fan page or an old man saying how disappointed they are he shunned his home state. It's embarrassing.

When you look at his hudl video, check out the QB also a 2019 kid. Nathan Cisco. (yeah my son) May start as a soph, definitely the starter for 2017 and 2018.

Close2Cisco? Welcome to the board. Keep us informed on his progression. We need a talented instate QB on the roster. Hope to see him tossing TDs to Scurry soon.

0 stars....don't want..what is Butch thinking?? He obviously needs to wait until the recruiting services evaluate this kid before taking him on...

All joking aside, BOOOOOM!! Says a lot about a player if he is being recruited to play college ball before he even starts his sophmore year! Best of luck to this kid as he develops!

My son was his QB last year and will be for at least Jr and Sr year, maybe this year as well. The kid has serious potential. Tall, fast, strong and catches everything in his huge radius. My son told me that his first read was always Kendrell. When you look at the video, check out the QB. He is now 6'3" and 175. He will be on your radar this year or next, count on it.

Not me. Best commitment I've seen in a while. So what he's 2.5 years from signing. Maybe he's 6'5 230 by then. We'll need TEs.

Instate. Gotta get em.

Kendrell has a half Brother who is 6'7", likely to be 6'5" or so by Sr. year. Known him since 6th grade and he is a good kid with a big smile! Legit has a chance to be the best receiver in his class.

Did you put much thought behind the choice of your handle and avi?... ah, never mind.

Apparently some people don't comprehend English, but I think that is what I said. So let me spell it out for those individuals.

"It is a very good start (which means I am happy with the recruit), but the 2017 class started with two 5* commits who bolted. So I think I will wait a year or 2 before getting too excited.(Which means based on past experience I am a little wary). I am not referring to you BBD. In fact, I think we agree. GEEZ, some people...

Now this is how in-state recruiting is done. Get on board early and peer recruit for your school. With Mays in 18 and Scurry in 19, we'll be looking good. Just to bad we didn't have a kid committed and working the 17 class for the last year or two.

Lets hope our momentum keeps going with our instate kids in the future. One kid we really really need to stay on is, 2021 kid, Webb freshman RB/S Elijah Howard. That kid is already turning heads. Hes liable to be in full Beast mode by the time hes a senior!

I feel ya. Its down right crazy that some of our adult fanbase can do and say some of the trash their saying to Tee for making the decision that best fits him for his academic and football future. Its really ashame, and what you said, its down right embarrssing.

With a great mom like you, he's already a 5 star as person in my book !:)
