To All The Dobbs Fanboys....

I'm not even joking when I say Dobbs is the worst QB I have seen this yr.

He is worse than ANY OVC ,MAC or Conf USA QB....EASILY.

With this big recruiting class coming in I hope CBJ has a decent QB who can start right away.

ANYONE would be better than this Dobbs kid.

You must've missed the first 8 games of the season.

All of our QBs are inexperienced. Our WRs are inexperienced. We don't even have an experienced TE. That means no one is there to help our QBs out (doesn't matter who you play and to add to it the best WR among those went down this game). And the worst time to play an inexperienced true frosh QB or any new QB? The end of the season against conference opponents when (barring devastating injuries like Florida is experiencing) those teams have found their groove and their inexperienced players have nearly a season under their belt.

The trouble with our offense is that it is young across the board. If we even had ONE reliable upperclassman at WR or TE all three of the QBs who've played would've looked a whole lot better. Right now, our best receivers are Neal and Lane because they are reliable. Our actual receivers have tons of potential but they are green.

He hasn't been good. He also hasn't been put in the best position to succeed. If you take out the 3 sacks, we averaged 4.9 per carry tonight: Dobbs (5.1), Neal (4.3), Lane (5.9). We wasted so many downs throwing screens and swing passes. We should've done what we did the last drive: run it down their throats (except who doesn't have him run a PA rollout on third down?). It's an especially good idea if your passing game is 9/17 for 16 yards with 2 INT's (before the final drive) and only had 2/9 completions go for 3+ yards. If you can't plan a more effective passing game than that, at least go with something that averaged 4.9 yards.

He is garbage. No excuses here. I've never seen such ineptness. It is embarrassing.

I know. You were one of the few that were brave enough to voice your concerns with him. Kid may be a genius with a pencil in his hand, but replace it with a football? He is Corky from Life Goes On.
Oh Blahdy! Oh Blahda!

I agree with that and I wasn't one of them. I am just saying don't take it out on the kid. He did his best.

Sorry man you may not like it but Dobbs deserves a lot of blame. I realize he is young and all but he was not playing against a real tough SEC defense. Zero excuses.

I am not saying the guy cannot be our future QB, but right now as a passer he is sucking.

Worley looked good against Georgia and SC. Had he not hurt his thumb he would be the starter and we would have beaten Vandy easily. Worley and the offense was clicking. Wen he got hurt most people were like "look out here comes Dobbs, he is this and he is that. He is much better than Worley, look what he did at the Elite 11 blah, blah, blah." That's all we heard. He has shown to be a better runner no doubt, but as a passer? I will take Worley all day over Dobbs.

Sure seems like we ran the zone read with Worley much more than Dobbs, seems a little backwards to me.

Thanks, buddy, you are right.
Perhaps one day we could possibly dream of breaking the century mark and not all hold our breath on any downfield pass.

No problem. You are usually right, so I don't get the tired of your "poop" post. It's NOT to much to ask for a QB that can pass for 300 yards, and make good choices with the ball in his hands. I love Butch and all, but thinking about it, he recruited him. Was he like superman in practice? Surely this isn't a surprise how he played to them. Cause it damn sure wasn't to me

No, you know what is getting old?
Losing and people like you making excuses for it.

What excuse have I made? Know the difference between excuses and reasons. Personally, I won't have your tone until 2016. If this crap is happening after CBJ has his players in place...I'm with you. Until then, No.
