To All The Dobbs Fanboys....

What excuse have I made? Know the difference between excuses and reasons. Personally, I won't have your tone until 2016. If this crap is happening after CBJ has his players in place...I'm with you. Until then, No.

He is upset with Dobbs, not Butch. He has said over, and over he supports our coach.

Well, write it off to me being an old man then. My time is limited and I am not patient. I've tried that route for the past five years and it has yielded squat. So, like the old man that I am, people can get sick of me and what I say, and they can get over it.
I have also heard that the ignore function is a viable option for those tired of me.

Now we know why Butch didn't start him sooner. I still question the OC play calling. Why not throw down the field by 5-10 yards..

Copy that Goat. Still Dobbs has only played what 6 qtrs. of SEC football. This guy was Georgia athlete of the year. That says a lot and while I'll agree he has struggled, there is a lot of stuff going on in seconds at this level that he will eventually learn to handle. I'm sure his work with Peyton will payoff.

I wish I had your optimism. I think he is trying to play at a level he has no business trying to compete in.

I hear you Doyle and I'm right there with you with being frustrated. We have been a dominate force for so long, none of us know how to deal with what we have now. Having a top recruiting class on the way is at least hope.

Tyler Bray FR stats: 125/224 1849 yards 18 TD 10 INT. 4 wins, 1 loss.

Josh Dobbs, well, he can run?

To be fair, Bray did that against Memphis, Ole Miss, Vandy and Kentucky; only Kentucky was a bowl team and they ended 6-7. And then UT lost to UNC in the MCB.

Compare that to Missouri, Auburn, and Vandy. All 3 bowl teams and 2 of them are in going into the last week of football with just 1 loss and can win the their division.

If Dobbs stinks it up against UK, then I'd say we have a huge problem.

2016, that is a joke. You're part of the problem. How many coaches anywhere get 3-4 years before anything is expected of them? You and your kind keep dragging dead weight until it gets you dead, too.

There is a reason that the staff didn't want anything thrown down field. Two int's backs up their concern.

Exactly. Game plan wasn't "vanilla" until he proved his arm to be a liability.

But, but, but.... The WR ran the wrong route.

But, but, but the WR didn't come back and fight for the ball. Horse crap.

I finally found the guy that thinks he can drive a Ford Escort at Bristol and win. It takes talent and the problem is people like you that can't deal with the reality of us having very little right now. Fulmer snoozed his last 2 years, Kiffin, then Doofus 3 years. We have 6 years of decline to rebuild. It's not going to happen overnight.

Vanderbilt is a Ford escort. Yeah, we should have won the race. Sorry Pratt. It's the truth.

For a screen to work, you have to still throw ahead of your receiver. Dobbs was beaming balls in behind his receivers.

I wanted to like Dobbs but FFS even a semi-competent QB would have had UT beating Vandy by 14. That INT he threw when he was forcing it into Croom? Yeah, he had a wide open receiver to his left. Didn't make his reads. He constantly doesn't make his reads, so the coaches started having to limit the playbook.

Now, you can make a case for Dobbs not being comfortable b/c bajayjay is in the press box and not on the field (doubles as QBC) so Dobbs is just kinda alone. Also, it's the job of the coaches to get the player comfortable.

Regardless, I am hoping that Fergie Ferg stays and plays lights out. He's probably licking his chops thinking about the starting position with the way Dobbs has played to this point.

To be fair, bray wasn't intercepted any time he tried a 20 yard pass

It was more of a tongue-in-cheek statement than anything else. Just can't believe that was the best passing game we could throw together.

True. Those INT's probably eliminated the two 5+ yard pass plays they had drawn up for tonight.

Vandy has one of the best WRs in SEC history and not one but two very good QBs. Dobbs is it for us. All of the other QBs are out. I'm guessing Pig would be his back up. Our only true stud WR in North went down early. we had huge problems with what little talent we have right now. Nevertheless, help is on the way.

The worst thing for me is Dobbs played this badly against a depleted Vandy secondary.

They were a product of the inevibility. Dude can't pass.

That stud WR you mentioned contributed to what, 5 yards passing in the first half. Hardly a big loss in my opinion. They weren't even using him.
