You suggesting I root for the opposing teams QB? Dobbs is the QB for the Vols. I am a Vols fan. I will root for Dobbs. Also, until Dobbs transfers to another University, I will support him as a player of this team. Who else exactly will CBJ be putting in? Fantastic thread BTW.

Were either of you proclaiming that he was the second coming of Martin the moment he trotted onto the field in the bama game?
Do either of you blame everyone but him for his miscues?

Who had more turn overs last night..Dobbs or the two Vandy QB. I believe the QB turn overs were the same. The only difference is that Vandy did not give up on their QBs and let them run the offense. You know he did have a rushing TD last night that was called back by a pig block in the back. Our staff needs to learn how to develop a QB and not quit if a freshman has some rough patches. Dobbs isn't great but he is good enough to beat Vandy with better coaching and scheme.

I support Anyone in the Orange win or lose! Damn let's support the team, players, and coaching staff. They has made wine from water. They did not have the players or depth but they wear the T with pride. GBFO always! No exception.

The team was playing for their bowl life. Why not put Ferguson in there? We knew just as much about Dobbs when he first went in. I would rather have seen Ferguson go in and fail rather than sit here feeling like Butch didn't fire every possible bullet in his gun.

Croom's route was very slow, kinda lazy and sloppy on Dobbs' 2nd pick iirc. The throw was bad too, threw it outside, should've thrown inside. Blame enough for everybody.

Why screw up another QB. Baptism by fire is not the way to use a QB. Red shirt the young fergy and come into next year he could be ready. We don't even know if he was injured or not. Just weeks prior was Dobbs the only option. This could still be the case. Trust in CBJ, he has been doing this longer than us.

Coach speak. What do you want him to say. Jim Mora Speak: "we just sucked, we couldn't do diddly poo offensively." All coaches say things to be professional. Hell Alabama beat Chattanooga Mocs a FCS school 49 to nothing. Saban said Chattanooga gave us a good game they tackle very well and have a lot of speed on offense.

Say "the kid has a huge upside and with time we will all see it on the field", not the kid "has he best hands on the team". What does that say to North and people who do, you know, make an occasional reception?

North was not the kid getting his a$$ handed to him by the fans and media. You boost the player that screwed up not the one that has done well. I'm sure Butch tells all his players great job. North knows he and pig are the main players on O.
